So you couldn't help coloring outside the lines. I said the classifications existed and were already in place. The whole purpose of which was to point out every time you blather about nukes/gasses/whatever you look like an idiot. (and obviously will again if citing such things in the future) I was also quite clear that if you wish to pontificate about modifying the aforementioned merely restrain yourself and discuss arms germane to the topic. Pretty simple.

I was quite clear in stating what is obviously your nightmare scenario. Those classifications that already exist may be up for a little reclassifying, tweaking, expanding, and/or addition.

That's a given from you ya idjit. All we're asking is that if you're going to bloviate about firearm law 1)bother to keep it germane to the real world and current law and 2)put in even a modicum of effort into actually discussing what that actually means. Otherwise, again, you're either wasting everyone's time or just unabashedly trolling.

The armed forces would split in at least half and take their toys with them so it would be an even exchange.

You can play that game if you want, but what you need to argue is that through private ownership of the best on offer at Dick's sporting goods you can overthrow a tyrannical government hell-bent on maintaining power. It's hardly a justification for private gun ownership to argue that half of the guys with the really cool Rambo toys would come over to our team.

And you think saying the government has tanks and planes is justification and a good argument for gun control? Or that someone owning a firearm infringes on your rights(😂)? Both are absolutely awful takes regarding gun control

Clearly NFA1934 and GCA1968 must be immediately repealed so that we can stand on equals arms. That’s the only reasonable and rational conclusion.

Is overthrowing a government the only measure of success?

What about being well armed enough to cause enough of an out cry and public relations nightmare that your government has to seriously consider certain policies?

For example Americans are so well armed that our government would never attempt full out confiscation because if they did the casualties on both sides would lead to a PR nightmare. That’s why even the hardest on the left don’t support confiscation

I'm more a big picture, theoretical type of guy on this issue. I'll leave the details to the people who actually play a role.
