Pretty soon, you'll learn to just ignore it. :biggrin2:

We're trying to ignore what's there now.....if we don't fare well, neither should anyone else... :biggrin2:

I like to see Fred Thompson run. McCain has disappointed me as of late.

Fred had a tough time after his daughter's death a few years back. I'd be very surprised to see him back into politics, at least as an elected official.

I have the utmost respect for Fred. He's an honest man. D. C. is a very tough place for a man with such high scruples as Fred.

The closest I think he'll spend time in politics is prepping judicial nominees. He's done that for both SCOTUS nominees so far.

I just wish a decent third party would step into the mix again. No one will be brave enough after Perot blew that chance.

Believe it or not . . . There seems to be a little bit of a groundswell of support for a certain former Speaker of the House.

It seems that a lot of Republicans can't stomach the idea of getting behind a McCain candidacy. (I can't say that I blame them.)

Policy wonks are failures at actually governing. Do we really want someone so wrapped up in the details they cannot even acknowledge the other factors in policy? As much as I have liked Newt on many stances, the thought of him as President sends shivers down my spine.

Al Gore is not going to run :( I was really looking forward to hearing Republicans tell everyone that Gore claimed to have invented DVD's but really didn't..

Can you imagine how polarized the election would be if it were Newt vs. Hillary? :yuck:

It would be pretty bad, but it'd be worth it just to watch the debate.

Add to that if Hillary chose her Hubby as running mate.

I don't think she trusts him enough for that - she might have an "unfortunate accident" then guess who would be back in charge :blush2:

Don't worry. They will manage to make some lie/extremely distorted truth about whoever runs for the Democrats, and Fox News will take their quotes out of context on a daily basis making the nominee look worse until the people say "Jeez... Who really sucks less." Republicans win another close one. ... Sort of win.
