Who did Tennessee lose…

Better question: who did the Vols get that Alabama, Georgia, Ohio St. and LSU really wanted. Not that were offered but that they really wanted and recruited until the end. That's when you know you're really making progress.
Best question: who did the Vols get who fills our immediate needs, fits our evolving winning TEAM culture, and have the capacity to be DEVELOPED into dominant players?

Answer: pretty much our entire class. We targeted who we wanted, won almost 100% of those, identified non-corrosive top portal contributors who can come in contribute asap and develop into stars. And we may not be done yet. Stay tuned after the Orange Bowl.

Hard to find any real risks or potential bad behavior guys in this class although the law of averages says we’ll probably lose one or two along the way.

Texas A&M proved for ALL TIME that recruiting and paying off the wrong 4 and 5 Star guys isn’t a winning strategy. In fact a team of mercenaries is out for themselves and doesn’t show up when they aren’t “feeling it”.

Actually it was Fulmer who conditioned legions of the Vol miserables to focus on stars instead of players so he could buy time to hold onto his job.

Yes Alabama GA OSU recruit at a different level but they already have established winning team cultures. Heupel & Co have to build one first. Otherwise we’re following the TAMU model into oblivion.

Didn't lose these if they were never ours to begin with.
The question was who did we lose that we recruited hard. These are some of them. I never said we had them to lose. Just answered the question asked.

Jordan Matthews, Nico Iamaleava, Daevin Hobbs, Arion Carter, Sham Umarov, Rickey Gibson, Caleb Herring, Ethan Davis, Chandavian Bradley. Off the top of my head

A bunch..........if someone has to tell you, then you must not follow recruiting much at all.

Also, they run different systems. We don’t need guys who fit other schools’ systems, we need guys who will excel in ours.

Hobbs, Umarov, the QB, Bama would have taken Carter. That's probably it on the above list. The CB's and Edge guys weren't takes for Georgia or Bama.

Your statement might be true for certain skill position types or on OL you might want size vs quickness. What guys on defense only fit certain systems? Maybe different Stars if you want a guy who is closer to a LBer or more of a safety in the opposite, but that's only one position that's not always on the field.

Georgia wanted herring bad. Rickey Gibson was a absolute take at Georgia. Bradley was getting recruited by Georgia but he wasn’t a fan of them for some reason. The others weren’t takes at bama or geirgia but it’s not like we beat out App state(no disrespect bishop) we beat out Texas, Penn state, Texas am, Ohio state, the Carolina’s for Leacock. So you were half right I guess

To some extent but don't discount the effect of NIL money. Proof is in the current team rankings....4 and 7.

Joined “November 21, 2022”. Clearly you don’t follow recruiting, are a troll, or a fan of different team lol.

I haven't followed nearly as much as I used to. How closely do you follow recruiting? Compare the edge guys and LBers the Top 2 signed.
