Bama would take our entire offense, throw a Bama jersey on them and would have went undefeated. We were an idiotic kickoff return from deep in the end zone that led to a strip and TD return from not even needing a FG to win. Bama has a better defense than we have and yet couldn’t stop UT all day. So they would take the UT offense and would have went unbeaten this year. As far as defense, I believe they would have taken Byron Young and maybe another DL from us. Heck, they had like 3 DB’s make all SEC teams and be highly ranked and we still made them look like they were back there running a Chinese fire drill!

UGA also would trade us offenses, their defense needs no help but let’s not pretend that offense is anything to write home about, heck they should have lost to Mizzou. So again UGA would trade their offense for ours in a second and it has little to do with the individual players but how awesome our scheme is to take advantage of those players. You had some absolute studs with the TE’s, but we just don’t use the TE’s that much and truthfully we don’t really need to, so they are studs on UGA but with UT they would have made us more dangerous but their numbers no where close to what they are now.

I don’t think UGA would trade entire offenses. Maybe a player or two. The reason that defense gets to be as suffocating as it is at times is due to the complimentary style of offense. They sustain drives so that the defense remains fresh. Any defense will wilt in the 2nd half with how quick UT scores.

They would because even as awesome as their defense is, they still couldn’t score all that much against Kent State and almost got beat by Mizzou. They are pedestrian at best and they were even so against our defense that was one of the worst in all of college football and that isn’t because of how good our offense is, that’s just because that couldn’t cover anyone with a pulse that could throw a pass. This offense with their defense would be beating everyone 50-12 or abouts.

I guess we can look at it another way too: If we had Georgias offense this year, We would be 7 - 5, with additional losses to Pitt, Florida, and Alabama.

Tangibly, we had the 4th highest rated class in the SEC on the composite. This is a nice improvement, we are usually in the 6th to 8th range.

When I see the offense that we had, and then I see Georgia's haul, I'm scratching my head.

I'm not taking a shot at Georgia at all, just thought we would bridge the gap some.

Oc leaving hurt recruiting? Idk.

Waiting for after the bowl games to see the transfer portal.
