Who did Tennessee lose…

He is an uga fan. Seeking affirmation that uga is super-duper awesome and doesn't recruit players that we do. Unfortunately, there are a few VolDawgs in here that seem only too happy to heap praise on uga any chance they can, which serves to reinforce the behavior.

It just gets......tiring.....dealing with insecure uga fans.

Better question: who did the Vols get that Alabama, Georgia, Ohio St. and LSU really wanted. Not that were offered but that they really wanted and recruited until the end. That's when you know you're really making progress.

Gosh, I don't think anyone we could ever possibly recruit would ever even be considered by a program as super-duper-awesomelicious as uga.

Happy? Confidence affirmed? Here's a cookie.

Good grief these uga fans are tiresome.

+1 … Maybe not our highest ranked class in recent years but they did a FANTASTIC job of filling positions of need on the D. Well done CJH and staff. GBO!

Texas A&M proved you can have the best class in a year, but unless you coach them you're not going to win especially in the SEC

I haven't followed nearly as much as I used to. How closely do you follow recruiting? Compare the edge guys and LBers the Top 2 signed.

Nothing like I used to. I used to sit in the car to listen to recruiting analysts tell about players. Now I know it’s pretty much ******** they’ve been told to say.

Usually it takes a couple yrs for classes to show their impact. Many think a #1 class reaps immediate success but those of us with experience know better. SMU had a monster class in 1979 but it took a yr or two for them to explode.

We are a mid tier program now that every once in awhile can come up and have a special season like this year our recruiting will never be on par with Bama, Georgia or Ohio St. 9 or 8th ranked and cracking the top ten is a great class for us considering it’s been 25 years nearly since we last won a national or conference title. I expect a slide back to a 8-4 or 7-5 type season next year but our 2024 class will be another top ten class and we can build on another very solid class. We need to string together about 5 straight winning seasons some good bowl appearances and put at least three straight wins on Florida. This isn’t the 90’s anymore where Phil was bringing in top 3 classes every season and cherry picking Georgia cause they were largely a unstable program in the 90’s. Be happy with 9-4 and 10 win season folks and the SEC is about to get even more difficult with OU and Texas two schools that have recruiting classes rated higher than ours.

Never is a long time my friend.

I am glad you think the recruiting class is all that matters. Tennessee football was one ugly game against USCjr away from being in the playoff without question…and that was with the same recruiting classes not in the top 10 multiple years in a row. Yes enjoy the good/fun/unexpected years but don’t trash on the program like 8-4 is the expectation and if you expect/want more we are unrealistic fans. Not sounding much like a HopefulVol to me.
Go back and look at hopefulvol posts and you will wonder if he really a Vol fan.

OU and Texas is a long ways off from competing in the sec. Imo that is why riley left OU, he knew this. Not saying they can't but it will take some time.

Thanks for all of the responses. When you look at the top 10 in recruiting, there’s not a lot of separation, pretty equal if needs were filled. Just wanted to know if we didn’t get a few we were really trying hard to get.

That’s when the Ignore button comes in so handy. If they persist with more than 2 or 3 comments, they gone.

Wonder if Alabama or LSU wants any of these players we beat tail with?

They would probably take your tackles, or at least one of them. Jalin Hyat for sure. That's probably about it for Alabama, although they would also take Hooker just so that you wouldn't have him. Same for LSU but I'm not sure who either would take from the defense.

Who do you think Alabama would trade you for in their starting lineup?

I follow pretty closely. Bama wanted Carter in the worst way, as did OSU. We beat them straight up. Georgia wanted Hobbs and Herring bad. Nico was the single most coveted recruit in the nation

According Hobbs profile on Rivals, Georgia never gave him an actual offer. That doesn't sound like Kirby wanted him bad.

Wow. Just wow. Ok, sparky. I am amused that you feel the need to state and restate that in your opinion uga would not want any Tennessee recruit. If that reaffirms you and makes you happy, then you be you, kay?

Now, please take a cookie, head back over to a [insert noun here]dawg board, and reassure yourself of uga awesomeness.

Otherwise, you're tiring, as is the whole uga schtick.
Whiniest, neediest fans in sports.
