Who do we want?

It’s going to be a good game, that’s for sure. Creighton is a legit force. I think we will match up well with their pace of play. Going to have to have a good shooting night and Aidoo/Awaka are going to be critical in keeping Kalkbrenner contained.

I mean, they’ve got 5-6 days to rest.

That’s true, but sometimes a game like that does some weird things to a team. Not sure it will apply here because of the stage and they are well coached, but it’s March and stranger things have happened.

We can certainly do it. I think we can take anyone in the country when things are firing and well oiled. We just simply cannot afford an off night shooting and our posts going missing. We are worried about the 3 and justifiably so, but I think the key is going to be defense and post play. Oregon didn’t have anything there except for Dante.

We were rewarded with two easy games. We are now punished with what might be the toughest two games matchup wise for us. It will take the greatest weekend of basketball in Tennessee history to make it to the Final Four. Not wrapping up a 1 seed made the journey much tougher but we can still do this!

Texas was not an “easy game”

They beat Baylor. They hammered Oklahoma in Norman. They took Houston to OT. They weren’t a bad team. They just weren’t consistent.

Creighton plays smart basketball. Don't turn it over a lot and shoot's the 3 very well. I do think we are more athletic and will probably be the most physical game they've had this year.

Back in November I got 20-1 odds on TN to win it all. All we have to do is win 4 in a row.

Go Vols!!

Well they were a sub .500 conference team and we shot 13 percent from 3 and still beat them. Not sure how much easier of a team you expect in a round of 32 Ncaa game. We haven’t lost to a team as bad as them all year and we won’t play a worse team than them going forward.

Maybe? But considering how the 4 seeds would have all shifted around if Tennessee were instead the 1 seed in the West to balance out teams from the same conference…you’d probably be looking at Tennessee likely playing Duke next weekend followed by Arizona/Baylor.

We are cooked next weekend.

Creighton has the size, conditioning, coaching, and shooting that is a nightmare for our lineup.
Even though they have size, they don’t really get a high shot volume. We should theoretically have a big advantage like we did against Texas

And those are easier matchups for us by a wide margin than Creighton and Purdue.

Good post. You reach this stage, there are no easy outs. Expect the best from everyone you play.
