Try this experiment.

A hollow [copper] ball, one 12' very smooth table. Place the ball at one end and read its frequency. Take it to the other end and immerse the ball (sound or whatever means you wish) with its prior frequency.

The ball rolls back to the other end where it started.

Why?

Yes.. but you can't pick up the copper ball with the magnet. It reacts more on the electrical side of things than magnetic. If my redneck layman's explanation makes sense.
Absolutely. The magic trick he was describing takes hours or even days because it requires the magnetic poles of the Earth to be in the right formation.

We should get a dove too. The trick always looks cooler when they fly away.

We can tape wings to the monkey and throw it up in the air. Not exactly the same but as long as we are close to some trees where he can grab a limb as he "flies" by to "perch", I think the effect would be the same.
