Who hates whom more?

It’s time for Tennessee to remind Alabama that they were fortunate to have Nick Saban and nothing else has changed. They aren’t inherently better than us at football or anything else. Bama just happened to have two good coaches who were really good at cheating since General Neyland retired. This is the week to lay it all on the line, team. The playoffs mean nothing if we don’t beat Bama at Neyland Stadium.

What happened to the “birthright” video? I feel like hearing it and can’t find it on YouTube.

Hearing Dale Jones talk to that got me emotional, I wish I could find it

2. No other NCAA football team has beaten Alabama more times than Tennessee. And the second team is not even close.
3. Fulmer's record against Alabama is 10-7-1, including a 9-1 record from 1995 unitl 2004.

Yea, I live in Alabama and the fans generally consider Fulmer to be scum - totally classless. But they love Johnny Majors and think we didn’t give Bill Battle a fair shot…I laugh and point out those coaches’ records against Bama as the real reason for the hate but they deny it.

Bear Bryant didn't coach against Neyland when he was at Alabama. I don't think Bama people care at all that Bryant never beat Neyland when he was at UK.

I think only a certain segment of Alabama's fanbase currently has a hate for Tennessee, and it is people old enough to remember the period between Stallings and Saban. Their hatred for Fulmer dovetails into that; they think it is his fault they were bad during that time (lol). They all hate Auburn more than Tennessee regardless of age, but I think most of their younger fans probably hate Auburn and LSU more than Tennessee. It is hard to truly come to despise a team you almost always kick in the teeth. I remember when I was a kid (during the aforementioned era) I didn't really hate Alabama - I hated Florida.

Our rivalry is good but has suffered a little bit because it seems like one team dominates it then it flips to the other dominating. It has been rare for both programs to be at the same level for extended periods of time.

I hope it's finally our turn

Big Josh sums it up better than most ever could. Wholly $h!t I got goosebumps all over again. I started watching UT football in the late 60's, went to my 1st game in 1972, and I'm a VFL. You cannot put into words what it means to beat Bama and get back on the winning side of this rivalry...

You’re right, they wouldn’t care less about
Fulmer if he didn’t beat them so much, that’s the real reason they hate him. Much the reason I loved to hate Spurrier. It’s not like I have a big hate for Ray Goff or Hal Mumme.
