Do you really think miami was clean, and he had nothing to do with north carolinas mess. Im not buying it. I think he would be a great coach, but he scares the hell out of me. And dont get me started on tressel.

Miami may not have been "clean" (however you define it) but it was within the NCAA rules. The NCAA was very much on top of the program given what had happened immediately prior to Davis' arrival, and was monitoring it like a hawk. The NCAA actually changed some of the recruiting rules in response to things that Davis did -- Santana Moss actually came to Miami on a track scholarship, for example, and that's now been outlawed -- but everything he did was within the NCAA's rules as they existed at the time.

And let's be honest here: big-time college football recruiting is a lot like Formula One racing (on the off chance anyone here follows F1). You win by being seizing every advantage that's available under the rules, and if you're not at the ragged edge of what's legal, you're at the back of the pack.

Would bringing back Fulmer/Chavis unite more of VN or divide more?
Dooley, had divided us about as much as i've seen. The hope for Gruden had a large portion of VN united. I believe after the coaching rollercoaster we have been on that a Fulmer hire would stabilize the program and make us competitive instantly in the East.

I don't think Tressel would be a "panic" hire. I think he's one of the best options left, even though he has baggage. Petersen would be my #2. I think he'd be an instant winner at UT.

If we hired Fulmer, I believe we would have the greatest mattress burning disaster in US history.

I'm sure your right. It seems a lot of the dooley supporters would riot at the thought of going back to a CPF team. I for one wish Fulmer had remained our coach.

I think I understand hart's plan. Wear us all down for weeks so that we are so sick and tired of it that we will accept anybody just to get it over. I am about ready to give up.

Why are they not looking at the NFL for an OC or DC to make HC? No logic to this search except get turned down

Can the NCAA hurry up and clear Trooper, Luper, and Chizik?!

So we can bring in Petrino as HC and Fulmer as O-line coach. Along with the fellas above...
