Who is the 6th win?

I wouldn't pencil in KY just yet... Seem to be better than the past few years.

And just who have they beaten to make you believe that they have improved more than we have since last season, when the significantly less talented 2013 Volunteers handily whipped the mildcats by 13 points. I'm sorry, but wins over UT Martin and Ohio do not impress me all that much. If they beat or hang with the Gators this week, then I'll take notice.

South Carolina is most likely the weakest of the bunch but I'm not sipping the Ole Miss Kool Aid. Just sucks we're playing them in Oxford

If we can avoid major injuries:

We win: Chattanooga, vandy, ky, sc
Likely: mizzu
Long shot but possible: everyone else

Who is the 6th win to take us bowling?

Utah State
Arkansas State

Chattanooga
Kentucky
Vanderbilt

Is it Florida, Missouri, Georgia or South Carolina?

I think we get 2 of the 4. My guess is Mizzou and USCe but I would gladly switch out UF for one of them.... it will be my father in laws first game at Neyland!!! Gotta show him (lives in Cali) how we do tailgating and fandom as southerners.

I think they'll hang with the gators. Stamps, Hatcher have been playing lights out on D. UK is not a team to overlook this year. DuPree, Kemp, and others have been playing team ball. Stoops has this team whipped into shape. The downside is UK going into the swamp. We'll see this weekend what either team has to offer. IMO, the gators had better be ready or they will be upset at home.

There is not likely to be one, but if we do get it, it will probably come against South Carolina. USC's defense is awful this year. We also might have a small chance against Mizzou. You can flat out forget about beating FL or UGA this year. Both of those teams will maul us on the line of scrimmage.

I think we will beat S.Carolina, and I hope we beat Florida since I'm driving up from Atlanta for that game. I don't know what to make of Mizzou just yet.

As for Georgia, why can't we beat them??.....did we not have a late lead and then a victory literally slip through our fingertips last season when they had their senior qb and we had less talent at skill positions and speed on defense? I'm not saying we will win, but we shouldn't consider it a foregone conclusion that we'll lose either.

Mizzou or USC are the most likely. We usually play Georgia tough and find a way to lose to the Gators. Georgia looks very good thus far, and I haven't formed an opinion yet on the Gators. I like our chances the best against Mizzou in Neyland Stadium. If we do a good job containing Maty Maulk I think we take Mizzou this year. South Carolina looks very beatable to me, but they are going to want revenge and the "Ol Ball Coach" will have them ready. Upsetting them last year will definitely give our guys confidence going in, and I look for a very good game that could go either way assuming both teams are relatively healthy at that point in the season. Call me crazy, but I'd lose every game on the schedule if we could just beat the hell out of Florida this year and end the streak. Last but not least, if our O-line improves and we stay fairly healthy, I believe we could actually be looking at more than 6 wins with a little luck. Not 9 or 10 wins, but 7-8 wins is not out of the realm of possibility with the playmakers we have this year.

I've got a feeling it'll be Ole Miss and you left them out.

That is a great point. Ole Miss is definitely a possible win. They are talented, and they could beat us badly. But Bo Wallace is also prone to throw picks, and they didn't exactly look invincible against Boise State, a team that I believe is at least somewhat comparable to Utah State in terms of talent. Although the final score was 35-13, that game was a mere 7-6 heading into the 4th quarter before Ole Miss pulled away late. I could definitely see our secondary (especially Cam Sutton) and linebackers having a big day against Wallace, especially if we manage to get a little pressure on him. If we could manage a pick six or two, anything is possible.

Personally, I want to see the 6th win come from Florida because the last thing I want is to see the Gators achieve a decade long winning streak at Neyland.

Otherwise, It'll probably be another team from the SEC East (Though seeing it be UGA or Bammer would be nice).

While the other day I was thinking that SC would be like, no way since it's an Away Game, those Away Games at OU and UGA should prepare a team that already looks like it won't be fazed when they get there, and seeing that SC may be for a bad year (can't tell yet), it is possible that they will lose again.

There's no reason to omit Ole Miss from the "possible" wins.... I don't like our chances versus them at the moment, but our O and D line play could be much improved by then.

We can take Mizzou at home and either FL or SC. I'm shooting for 7 wins, not 6!

For me 6 would be the cake, 7 would be the icing and anything over that would be mind blowing!

A lot of times you can tell a team is different reguardless of who they play... If you cant see they play faster and more physical on defense then that's your fault. Offense is also better. The transfer rb from Nebraska is a good fit for them. Kinda like TN, cant you tell they are playing better than last year?
