IMO, this new age of coaches have ruined football. Guys like RichRod, Kiffin, and Edsell who simply are just waiting for the next opportunity to come open. Where are the guys like Tressal, Bowden, and Paterno that make a commitment to a university and the student-athlete they ask to come there. If Jim Harbaugh leaves Stanford, he'll be no better than Lane Kiffin in my eyes.

Yeah, Ohio State is such a comparable job to West Virginia and Stanford. Tressel built it all by himself and stayed only because he's super loyal.

Edsall built UCONN and left due to strict academic standards that were passed.

He turned down plenty of jobs until that happened.

Add saban to your first list. The guy is smart enough to know his limitations. Hes pretty good at building a program(except mich st) not so much in maintaining

Maryland isn't Florida, Texas, or USC, but it's most definitely an upgrade from UCONN.
