Steven Pearl is up there but Chris Loften is my guy. I mean come on he lead the SEC if not the whole country in 3s and oh yea he had cancer the entire time!!

Solid, irrefutable choice. I really liked that era. Dale Ellis, Howard Wood, Michael Brooks, who was maybe as good a shooter as Lofton but who unfortunately played before the three-point shot. That was a really fun team.
Jimmy England with his thigh taped up with a football pad was the hero of my youth. He had a sweet stroke.
Ron Widby punting in the afternoon and hooping in the evening was impressive.
But Weezie was, without a doubt, my all time favorite. He was a true baller hiding behind the most lovable personality. He really came on after leaving the bench at Vandy his freshman year. How could you not love the guy for embracing that nickname?
Because without him we don't get Grunfeld, without whom we probably don't get Bernard King, without whom we probably don't get Reggie Johnson, and so on and so forth.
For me, it was Charles Hathaway. . .
I was in middle school and and came to a UT game his freshmen year against Austin Peay. He had a big game and had a couple of blocks and big dunks. I was very impressed and became a fan of Tennessee Basketball from that point to now.
Two things that really hurt him was getting the blood clot in his arm and having Jerry Green as a coach. When you consider that he was a McDonald's All-American, his career was a little disapointing, but that doesn't bother me.
I remember being at a UT game against American university when wood hit a jumper from 25 feet out on the left side if im not mistaken. It was one of the first games i ever watched the Vols play in person.a good shooter.
