The Colbert Report is genius my friend, and not only that, I think we're looking at a classic in the making. That show is actually duping people into beleiving they're watching a legit conservative comedy show. That show is the biggest television farce I can think of.

I don't think anyone is being duped into believing that.

I've met some. Granted, they're complete idiots but they're out there

Well I'll take your word for it -- especially the complete idiot part :D

I'm a conservative and I watch the show -- I think he's one of the best satirists out there. That being said, he's missing a ton of opportunities (satirizing the liberal side).

PEARL JAM
SEVEN MARY THREE
GODSMACK
METALLICA
THIRD EYE BLIND
STONE TEMPILE PIOLTS
LED ZEPPLIN
MUDVANE -Lost into sleep (thats it for them)
AND I LIKE THE COUNTRY TOO

The Fray was excellent. They are a strong live act. I think they are indicative of the direction pop music is moving.
James Blunt was solid. Simple rule-If you like James Tayloresque ballads with a modern edge, you'll really like his live show. If not, save your money.

Glad you enjoyed. A bootleg would be appreciated. :eek:lol:
I wasn't as impressed with the Seminole Hard Rock's acoustics. However, I'm comparing them to the Hard Rock in Vegas, which is reputed to have the best acoustics in America. The good thing about both acts is that I think they'll do well in a variety of venues. My only concern would be that Blunt's music may be so subtle that it might get "lost" in a big arena. The Fray can play a venue for 100 or 100,000, they'll still sound on point.

I saw the Fray opening up for Weezer, way before there CD was even out and they sounded great. I saw Korn at Hard Rock Live in Orlando and the sound was great in there, but I don't know how it would sound a for a guy like Blunt.

Being around my mom puts me well in touch with the community and viewpoints of true conservatives... They take plenty of opportunities to satirize liberals. IMO The Daily Show and The Colbert Report work as good counter-weights to the many, many, many conservative satirists who just don't happen to be as popular in the mainstream.

Yeah, he is. But his music just hasn't really moved me. I know Chariot got a lot of pub, and I tried listening to it 3 or 4 times, but I'm still underwhelmed. Can't argue with the quality of his voice, though.

I think my taste in music is a bit dated , so maybe I should stay out of this one. I'm a 70's man. The last new group I liked was th Black Crows, if that tells you anything! What gets me is some of these guys that I work with will here a remake of a song and think its new! I'm getting old!

If they're not popular in the mainstream, why do they need counter-weights

Nothing wrong with it -- I'm just saying, they're only working with 50% of the potential material out there! Politics come and go but comedy is sacred. IMHO, you never turn down a comedy opportunity no matter what your political leanings are :peace2:

All the good music from the 70's is what my son's college roommates listen to.It's amazing.

The Black Crowes biggest hit ever (Hard to Handle) was done by the Grateful Dead 20 years earlier.
