Who is your surprise team of the year?

TENNESSEE; Actually being a Negavol for the past few years, I'm a little suprised in myself.

Here's the deal: Our defense, barring any injuries in the secondary will be nasty, our kicking game will be solid (despite Wilhoit's preseason woes) and on offense we will effectively pound the rock. If only our QB's can play smart and not make critical mistakes and ocassionally complete a third down pass to keep drives alive we can wear down the opposition's defense.

Prediction: If we beat Florida, which I think we will, we will play in Atlanta in December!

Given Louisville's perennial run as winners, they're hardly a surprise team. That's a compliment, by the way.

Kentucky will pull out 7 and a bowl bid. I think that qualifies as a surprise team.

I hate to tell you but me picking a team outside the top 10 to go undefeated and get to the national title game is a surprise.

But how about this for a surprise Rich Brooks finally getting fired, oh wait thats not a surprise at all :p .

Mine has to be Ole Miss. They get a great QB in Schaeffer (they need to hire somebody just to walk around with him to make sure he doesn't get in trouble). They also get a guy named BenJarves Green-Ellis who is a transfer from Ind. and he will probably start at RB and be close to a 1,000 yard back. They have some young WR but they are very very talented. And of course on D. they have Patrick Willis who will be an All American this year. I think they win atleast 6 games and knock off a big team, my guess is Alabama, and go to a bowl game.

Who is your surprise team?
Florida St. and Miami I am suprised at how bad they are!

The SEC is going to have quite a few teams bowling this year. It looks like UT, UF, USC, UGA, UK, AUB, LSU, Ark, and Bama will all make it. Vanderbilt might even be able to sneak in there. I'm pretty sure no conference has ever sent 10 teams to bowls. Sending 9 has only happened 2 or 3 times. It's a big year for the SEC. Another reason I think the SEC champ deserves a NC shot.
