Who killed Tennessee football ?

Our "fans" can't stop *****ing long enough to enjoy a win.

You call that a win? A stinking Sun Belt team comes in and dang near beats an SEC team that was favored by more than 20 points? No disrespect, man,but Enjoy hell.

If you can read between the lines of Fulmer's comments over the last 7 or 8 years he makes subtle remarks about some internal confusion and incompotence.

As frustrated as we all were with Fulmers last few seasons I don't think any of us knew it could be this bad. Maybe Hammy encouraged Fulmer to hire Clawson which sealed Fulmers fate. Fulmer proved he could get us where we want to be. He lost Cutcliffe and that was sorta like Lee losing Jackson.

Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Mark Richt, and a combination of Cuttcliff leaving, Fulmer losing some fire, the hire of Dave Clawson, Mike Hamilton, and finally Coach Dooley for losing the recruiting battles, along with stability in his assistant coaches. Finally, Dooley switching to the 3-4 in a pivotal year in his tenure.

It was Fulmer and Chavis with Hamilton being the final nail in the coffin.

It has been painfully obvious that the lack of OL and DL the past 3 recruiting classes from the Fulmer era failed to produce enough quality or depth. We have yet to over come from that deficit, the other SEC rivals now are getting those players.

The only way to get back to where we want to be is to out recruit those teams who are ahead of us and coach them up. The current staff will never come close to being able to do that, we need a homerun hire or we will continue to be buried at the bottom of the eastern conference because that is where our recruiting is.

Hey kid,Fulmer's "dominance" was in the 90s,he rested on those laurals. In the 00's he forgot how to get a team ready for a bowl game, recruted sub par players, hired sub par assistants, and was losing control of the players. Not to mention having a losing season every other year.Besides his firing was karma biting himself in the butt for going behind Majors back to get the job to begin with.

I just celebrated my 32nd anniversary, but thank you.

This is it. Perfect storm of bad things.

If you did not know anything other than the record of the coach. 152-52 , 1 year removed from SECG, AND the NC, VN would be yelling to hire him. Instead, Tennessee fired him.

When John Ward Retired we have'nt been the same since! lol

Your absolutely correct....I was thinking the same thing
when John Ward and Bill Anderson retired...Tennessee Football retired with them....man I miss the days of turning the TV down and listening to John Ward...there was nothing like it....Ward IMO was the the best Play by Play ever in any sport.....Larry Munson @ Ga could hold Ward's jock strap

I think was given a task way beyond his skills as a coach and we need some that can grab the bulls my horns. TheY and bring back the vols to a team that was feared NOT a weak link sec team.

Thanks I finally figured out about the third post that he honestly was just ignorant and really only knew what he had read off of the message boards so I just quit.

Well none of this really much matters now! I think most will agree that its time Hart and the university make some changes if they want to compete or go ahead and move us to a lesser conference!

Then you should have really paid more attention to being a real fan and not a bandwagoner! Otherwise you would have witnessed this along with the rest of us! It was quit shameful!

The only quite shameful issue here seems to be the idea that I am a bandwagon fan. But when you have no argument, attack the other person. Go work for Obama.

Also; guess what, bandwagon fans are the reason you get change. If everyone was loyal and went to games regardless, there would be no reason to change. Since you said I was ignorant, I will let this all sink in, because you are such an "expert".

Why after 4yrs since Fulmer some of you guys still try to blame him for the seasons, we are having any coach worth his salt would have come up by now, you may not atmit it but you will sell your left nutt to see him on the sideline now. I know i'll sell yours to see him there again.
