A few months ago all we heard was that the Covid-19 virus was going to overwhelm the healthcare system and we couldn't cope with with what was going to happen. Now, nearly June, the curve rose and is falling and we still have these draconian isolation orders in several states.
What changed when it became obvious that we weren't going to overwhelm the healthcare system? Our leaders in some states are destroying the economy. Why?

You really need to ask that question?

More importantly, how did they get the rest of the world in on this conspiracy? Maybe Q will get to the bottom of this one.

You're blaming Trump and Pence for a few out of control governors and mayors?

I'm not "blaming" anyone for working hard to reduce the rate of spread of the infection so that our health care system was largely able to handle the initial surge.

I do, on the other hand, blame Trump to some degree for the surge being worse than it needed to be, with all of his minimizing of it early on, his promises it would go away, his false claims that it was under control, etc.

He was being told what was coming and he was told what the economic effect would be. He put his own personal interest in reelection ahead of the health and safety of the American people.

He is not alone to blame. The Chinese get some. The W.H.O. as well.

But it is absolutely crystal clear that Trump tried to dodge a bullet and the country took the hit. For the sake of his enormous yet incredibly fragile ego.

Trump is the President so he bears ALL responsibility good or bad whether its fair or not, that part I agree with. Its a tough job that has tough consequences. However those states still lock down with overreaching governors and mayors are not Trumps fault. But it will be come Trumps fault if he doesn't get the DOJ involved soon.

Worse than it needed to be in your mind was still far better than the dire predictions by the scientific community early on.

There is always room for improvement in whatever we do. But it seems like you are wanting to call the POTUS response a failure when that simply is far from the case.

The DOJ isn't going to force states to open. That is sheer lunacy.

It’s a legitimate question and one of the biggest.

Why were the goal posts moved at two week increments when we landed on the positive side of every early prediction that the initial measures were based on?

As we learned more about the virus the measures were not adjusted in the right direction. It makes no sense.

They'll virtue signal you to death over one life saved by wearing a mask, all the while turning a blind eye to the child raped and murdered by an illegal alien. Double standards is all they know.

you left out Cuomo - there's a direct line between his mandate on nursing homes and deaths.
