AP count: Over 4,300 virus patients sent to NY nursing homes

You dont believe in science now?
I have said many times here that this was correct -- to reduce the rate of spread and its what the science said to do. Trump FINALLY took that advice from the professionals.
It did not stop me from mocking Pence as he held up that sign goofily every 12 seconds, like a beaten dog having to perform the same trick for the umpteenth time for his master. It was painful at times.
A few months ago all we heard was that the Covid-19 virus was going to overwhelm the healthcare system and we couldn't cope with with what was going to happen. Now, nearly June, the curve rose and is falling and we still have these draconian isolation orders in several states.
What changed when it became obvious that we weren't going to overwhelm the healthcare system? Our leaders in some states are destroying the economy. Why?
Governors are in a tough spot because unlike our friends in DC, they don't have a printing press at their disposal.A few months ago all we heard was that the Covid-19 virus was going to overwhelm the healthcare system and we couldn't cope with with what was going to happen. We had increases too after opening up. Although those increases were due mostly to testing in prisons and a mushroom plant in counties that before had almost no cases and reverted back to almost no cases after those institutions were done.Governors are in a tough spot because unlike our friends in DC, they don't have a printing press at their disposal.
For example, NC (my state) is just now starting to relax some things and we just had our biggest one day increase in new cases (over 1000).
As I predicted, once the coffers ran dry, things would open up again no matter the numbers.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but budgets have to be balanced at the state level
LOLI'm not "blaming" anyone for working hard to reduce the rate of spread of the infection so that our health care system was largely able to handle the initial surge.
I do, on the other hand, blame Trump to some degree for the surge being worse than it needed to be, with all of his minimizing of it early on, his promises it would go away, his false claims that it was under control, etc.
He was being told what was coming and he was told what the economic effect would be. He put his own personal interest in reelection ahead of the health and safety of the American people.
He is not alone to blame. The Chinese get some. The W.H.O. as well.
But it is absolutely crystal clear that Trump tried to dodge a bullet and the country took the hit. For the sake of his enormous yet incredibly fragile ego.

We were one of the initial hotbed outbreak areas in KY. We were so able to handle the spread that we laid off half of the Drs, nurses, and PAs.I'm not "blaming" anyone for working hard to reduce the rate of spread of the infection so that our health care system was largely able to handle the initial surge.

And here we were told every hospital would be overrun and we would have bed shortages. The nurses were so busy yet they had a lot of time to make stupid tik tok videosWe were one of the initial hotbed outbreak areas in KY.
