You know why people are freaking out, because they haven't truly lived their lives.

They have glazed through it.

Scared and fearful, of life, and death. Scared of death, because of the regrets of truly not living.

You are promised nothing. You can't predict what will happen 5 minutes from now, let alone week, month, year.

Go sky diving. Go drive 180 MPH on flat surface with no one around. Go free climbing up a face with no gear. Look, and jump. Go push the envelope and really experience life. For the vast majority, this isn't the case. Freaking living zombies most of the population.

Sh**, this site, your stupid phones and your stupid ipads and on and on....people are willfully just wasting their lives away.

I have said many times here that this was correct -- to reduce the rate of spread and its what the science said to do. Trump FINALLY took that advice from the professionals.

It did not stop me from mocking Pence as he held up that sign goofily every 12 seconds, like a beaten dog having to perform the same trick for the umpteenth time for his master. It was painful at times.

Hmm..why does that sound so familiar..

A few months ago all we heard was that the Covid-19 virus was going to overwhelm the healthcare system and we couldn't cope with with what was going to happen. Now, nearly June, the curve rose and is falling and we still have these draconian isolation orders in several states.
What changed when it became obvious that we weren't going to overwhelm the healthcare system? Our leaders in some states are destroying the economy. Why?

It's clear that you and I should just listen to the Science.

Waylon Jennings always popped into mind when I heard "flattening the curve".

Yeah I know it was "flattening the hills".
Glad I'm not the only one!😉

"Making their way the only way they know how. Well that's just a little bit more than the dimocrats would allow!"

I remember flattening the curve was suddenly and seemingly simultaneously agreed upon by all and to question it was asking for angry responses from a suddenly very sure and faithful population. At least something finally brought people together, even if it was blind faith in an unproven solution. Anytime that many people suddenly agree on something that much, it's a sign to be wary.

Governors are in a tough spot because unlike our friends in DC, they don't have a printing press at their disposal.

For example, NC (my state) is just now starting to relax some things and we just had our biggest one day increase in new cases (over 1000).

As I predicted, once the coffers ran dry, things would open up again no matter the numbers.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but budgets have to be balanced at the state level

We had increases too after opening up. Although those increases were due mostly to testing in prisons and a mushroom plant in counties that before had almost no cases and reverted back to almost no cases after those institutions were done.

Why did they wait?

I'm not "blaming" anyone for working hard to reduce the rate of spread of the infection so that our health care system was largely able to handle the initial surge.

I do, on the other hand, blame Trump to some degree for the surge being worse than it needed to be, with all of his minimizing of it early on, his promises it would go away, his false claims that it was under control, etc.

He was being told what was coming and he was told what the economic effect would be. He put his own personal interest in reelection ahead of the health and safety of the American people.

He is not alone to blame. The Chinese get some. The W.H.O. as well.

But it is absolutely crystal clear that Trump tried to dodge a bullet and the country took the hit. For the sake of his enormous yet incredibly fragile ego.

Let's not forget Vodka Nancy inviting people Chinatown, and Fake Fauci telling people it wasn't going to be a big deal early on.

“New York City’s Chinatowns are open for business!” de Blasio said on February 13, "The risk of infection to New Yorkers is low. There is no need to avoid public spaces.”

We were one of the initial hotbed outbreak areas in KY. We were so able to handle the spread that we laid off half of the Drs, nurses, and PAs.

And here we were told every hospital would be overrun and we would have bed shortages. The nurses were so busy yet they had a lot of time to make stupid tik tok videos

We know what's going on. You give these power hungry clowns an inch and they try to take a foot. It is their chance to grab power by the horns and run away with it. Two weeks has become two months and now they want all summer and trillions before dollars.

Posted the yesterday a CNN article talking about increased cases across the country. There was no mention of testing or positivity rate and no mention of hospitalizations or fatality rates.

All they mentioned was a larger number of positive cases being reported. And then went on to interview many “experts” about how the numbers will continue rising.

I’ve started calling this “factual misinformation.” Yes, it is true, the number of positive cases is on the rise. But they are misinforming us that that is the real crux of the issue. Is the percent positive number going up? Are hospitalizations going up? Are fatalities increasing? Those are the numbers that matter and none were reported.
