Bru’s season is obviously over. I hope he can play football again. That was gruesome. Prayers to him.

Who replaces him on the outside? Looked like Nimrod was the first man up last night, but Thornton didn’t dress. When Thornton is back, is he moved to the outside to replace Bru or is he too slight to get off press coverage? Does Kaleb Webb factor in? He seems bigger and more physical than Nimrod, but Nimrod seems to get in before Webb. Maybe Webb is Keyton’s backup on the other side, but does he start practicing on the other side to compete for that spot?

There is talent available, but it’s inexperienced and unproven.

There is no receiver on the roster that can replace Bru’s physicality. He was our best option over the middle of the field as well. It is going to be a group effort. Perfect time for Webb, Nimrod, and Thornton to make the most of the opportunity.

Bru was basically a TE. So, this is going to be difficult. Castles can run close to Brunbut isn’t as smooth and doesn’t have the ball skills. Bru is a weapon that few players can match. This will really hurt our screen game because Bru is the best blocker that I’ve ever seen at WR

No many options. Webb, Nimrod and Leacock will join White, Thornton and Keyton. They'll have to mix and match as best they can. Pretty clear our offense will be very heavy run and more underneath stuff. Not gonna be a team focused on taking the top off. I also suspect we'll see the TE spot take on a far bigger role. Hey, it saved UGA's butt yesterday. I've always wanted to see UT highlight an athletic TE. We don't emphasize it nearly enough IMO. Best of luck to Bru. Now it's time for our youth to step up.

I think it’ll be similar to Keyton replacing Tillman last year. Keyton couldn’t match Tillman physically, but he brought his own, different skill set.

Thornton, for example, is faster than Bru. If he can get it together and start catching the ball and getting open, he’ll provide a deep threat we haven’t had this year. But that’s a big if. And I don’t know how well suited he is for an outside WR spot.

Glad we have an open date to figure it out.

I would like to see Warren targeted more. And get Ethan Davis some work as the season goes on.

Thornton is 6'4 215. He doesn't have the same "DOG" in him that Bru has. Will be interesting to see what Heupel draws up to get some others involved

It helps that UGA’s tight end is the best player in college football.

I wish people would stop acting like Bru will be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life
Huh? The question is who replaces Bru. No one is saying he won't play again, but if he does, it certainly won't be this year. With an injury that severe, one does have to be a little concerned about his future tho.

Agree. Like I said, he’ll have to replace him with his own strengths, not Bru’s…like Keyton for Tillman last year.

Nimrod backs up McCoy so it will be him unless Webb is cross trained at the position.
I want to see Thorton start. He can play both and hopefully him consistently being in will help him find his groove and be the receiver everyone knows he can be.

What an azzhole comment. Hope you were drunk when you posted this.

Bru had a gruesome injury and is 3000 miles from home. He will walk again in all likelihood due to advances in medicine but probably never play ball again. He just went from having a shot at being a late round draft pick or at LEAST getting invited to NFL camp as an undrafted free agent to definitely getting neither....and will likely never play football again due to his position. Receivers and RBs put incredible stress on their lower bodies and can never "lose a step" or their already short careers are over. Bru almost certainly just lost what he has worked extremely hard for his entire life...a tryout with an NFL team and a chance to play pro ball. All because a big dude fell on his leg on a routine catch over the middle.

Maybe try to put yourself in other folks shoes before you speak about them? Bru has been a team leader...by example...and will be greatly missed on the field as an amazing blocker and solid WR that makes the tough catches. No way we beat Bama or Flarduh last season without Bru. He deserves our respect and empathy.

Bru reminded me a lot of Cordarrelle Patterson. I sure hope the young man heals quickly and lives his dreams. He is a VFL.

He can return in 2024 for UT despite being a redshirt senior, or can heal and rehab and get ready for the combine. Either way I’m trying to be positive instead of assuming he’ll never play football again like everyone else

Except Bru can remember plays at the college level and is worth 10+ points more on a Wonderlic. Very glad Patterson has done well in the league though.

I’m thinking maybe it’s you that should put the bottle down. You have no evidence of the garbage you are spewing unless you’re one of the medics that have worked with him last night or this morning. If so you shouldn’t be sharing that info. Anyone that speculates on this injury on this board are doing just that, speculating, and to scold another fan for not is absurd.

Patterson was like the anti-Bru. Bru never juked a DB out on his life. He’s all stiff arms but a much more consistent WR than Patterson ever was. Patterson was a terrible WR but a dynamic playmaker, and I say that with admiration because I love the guy.
