Who replaces McCoy?

And that would be the wrong answer
No actually it’s right. There is not another receiver on this team that has Bru’s toughness, strong hands and willingness and ability to run over people. Now there is another on the team that does but he’s a tight end. Just because someone plays in your place does not mean what you brought to the table has been replaced

There's no doubt that Bru will be missed, but this season there hasn't been a lot of balls to go around to the wide receiving corps.

We're currently averaging 13 completions per game to WRs with Squirrel getting 5 of those..so, there's been only 8 completions per game to split between the rest of the WRs.

There is no receiver on the roster that can replace Bru’s physicality. He was our best option over the middle of the field as well. It is going to be a group effort. Perfect time for Webb, Nimrod, and Thornton to make the most of the opportunity.
Nathan Leacock is similar size wise. Is he redshirting?

I think it’ll be similar to Keyton replacing Tillman last year. Keyton couldn’t match Tillman physically, but he brought his own, different skill set.

Thornton, for example, is faster than Bru. If he can get it together and start catching the ball and getting open, he’ll provide a deep threat we haven’t had this year. But that’s a big if. And I don’t know how well suited he is for an outside WR spot.

Glad we have an open date to figure it out.
I know Cam Seldon is a running back, but he is big and had elite speed. Seldon is 6’2, 225lbs and is the 4th string running back and kick return specialist. With as deep as our running back room is, I would love to see what he could do with that size and speed in the open field. Not sure about his hands, but surely he has just as good as hands as Thornton.

With the bye week this week, this would be a perfect opportunity to get a great look at Seldon at that position. Then once Wright and Small move on next year, we still can move Seldon back to running back have that backup to Sampson.

Bru reminded me a lot of Cordarrelle Patterson. I sure hope the young man heals quickly and lives his dreams. He is a VFL.
I think Bru style of play mimicked Juan Jennings more than anyone we have had. JJ was a Dawg and loved to hit, block, and run through you. You could depend on Jennings to make a play when it was needed as you could with Bru. Both players was very hard to take down once had the ball on their hands. One Bru or JJ got the ball in their hands they was getting at least a couple yards. They seems to always both fall forward when going down and more times than not it takes multiple players to tackle both.

Jennings big moment was the Hail Marry catch to win the game against UGA.

Bru biggest moment was that catch in the middle of the field against Bama to put us in FG range. 9 seconds left on the clock from the 50yd line, Hooker throws it high and Bru goes up and grabs it in traffic and comes down with it with 2 seconds left on the clock allowing UT to kick game winning FG.

Marquarius White is getting a lot of touches.
He is not a replacement for Bru, obviously, but Heupel wants him in the mix.
