Who replaces McCoy?

Seems like he got more targets last night after the Bru injury than all season.. hopefully that's a good sign he's ready to step up.
I like the idea of Warren getting more involved in the passing game and he is a pretty good blocker as well, but Bru was a special talent. He was like a linebacker that could block, catch and run.

I’m thinking maybe it’s you that should put the bottle down. You have no evidence of the garbage you are spewing unless you’re one of the medics that have worked with him last night or this morning. If so you shouldn’t be sharing that info. Anyone that speculates on this injury on this board are doing just that, speculating, and to scold another fan for not is absurd.
If it’s the same injury I had, which it looked almost identical to, with surgery, a cast, and rehab he’ll be as good as new.

Jacob Warren has the best hands on the team to the naked eye he catches joes heaters all hands with ease.

I agree, hopefully Bru comes back next year and can trust the ankle. But he's getting older and been in college a while so no one would knock him for testing the NFL.

There is no receiver on the roster that can replace Bru’s physicality. He was our best option over the middle of the field as well. It is going to be a group effort. Perfect time for Webb, Nimrod, and Thornton to make the most of the opportunity.

We saw it a bit last night, but I think CJH is going to work Castles and Warren into the mix a lot more to try and replace some of Bru's physicality, and I'd also love to see Wright and Sampson used a bit split out wide. The bubble screen to Sampson could be a deadly weapon.

And I've said it elsewhere, but Dee Williams is just far too explosive a player to limit to occasional punt returns. Why not get him the ball in space via jet sweeps or bubble screens? Josh might have to get a bit more creative with the thinness at WR.

I think Nimrod and Webb can help, but Thornton is the most experienced and has a good combo of size and speed. I expect Keyon,Squirrel and Thornton to be the main 3 but Nimrod and Webb have shown they are capable. GBO

Bru’s season is obviously over. I hope he can play football again. That was gruesome. Prayers to him.

Who replaces him on the outside? Looked like Nimrod was the first man up last night, but Thornton didn’t dress. When Thornton is back, is he moved to the outside to replace Bru or is he too slight to get off press coverage? Does Kaleb Webb factor in? He seems bigger and more physical than Nimrod, but Nimrod seems to get in before Webb. Maybe Webb is Keyton’s backup on the other side, but does he start practicing on the other side to compete for that spot?

There is talent available, but it’s inexperienced and unproven.
Thornton and Keyton will be relied on very heavily to replace McCoy's production.

I attended the UTSA game; I noticed that Thornton had some really nice athletic ability after the catch. The only problem; so far he has had problems making the catch. Hopefully he works those bugs out.

I agree, where we will miss him the most is in the screen and running game with his blocking. He was almost like having a tight end at wide receiver blocking. That will be sorely missed.

Bru's physicality is unmatched and something I haven't seen in any other Vol receiver outside of Juan Jennings. Maybe Keyton can be a bit physical, but he has been a bit quiet this season. We certainly need Donte Thorton to step it up in a big way. I would like to see Nathan Leacock, but it seems they may be stashing him as a redshirt. Not sure.

Nimrod needs to get on the jugs machine and crank it up. He dropped a beautiful (albeit a bullet) Milton pass that would have been a big 3rd down conversion
