Who should win the Heisman

Going by the standards set by the media it should be Troy Smith. He is the best player on the best team. However I think I would take Colt McCoy. He is playing like a veteran and he is a Redshirt Freshman. His stats are unbelievable.

Manning 20 td 12 int 3287yds-Jr year
Quinn 32 td 7 int 3919 yds- Jr year

Manning 37 td 11 int 3819yds- Sr year
Quinn 25 td 4 int 2579 yds - 4 games remaining in Sr. year

This is for the posters who can't let the Manning/Heisman thing die. If Quinn doesn't win it, will he be robbed like Manning?

If your ND friend is trying to say that Quinn is better than Manning please drag him out in the street and kick his :shaking2:

by your stats, i see that quinn needs to average over 400 yds and 2 td's a game just to be better than last year? that doesn't matter. what does matter is that if Tosu beats mich, three people may get invited to NYC, but only smith needs to be there

People think Manning was robbed because he lost to a player that the media had hyped to win it. Manning had no chance. I wish one of our stat gurus on here would pull up Woodson's stats from his last year and compare them to Mark Jones' stats from his Sr. year here. You will find that Mark Jones stats were just as good, if not better, in most areas.

No I don't think he is saying that, I think they feel he is not getting his due credit. While I on the other hand hoped that this would kill the Manning being robbed issue. Which I agree he was, but how long ago was that.

I think Quinn is like Ainge, not neccessarily a great player, but the result of very good coaching.

So what kind of system is Ainge in? Look at the stats from last year to this year and then look at Manning's stats with Cut. All three are in a qb friendly system.

He is a redshirt Fr. That means that after next season he will be able to go pro since he will be 3 years removed from high school.

Well after next year if he is still putting up good numbers he should leave. Or that is what I would do. Who would want to turn down first round money? Look at Leinart for example, if he would have went his junior year he would have been first pick, instead he waited. Hurt his draft stock.

Call me crazy.

I think, for the first time in history, a coach will win the Heisman. I think you all know who I am talking about.

It's through his sheer benevolent and omnipotent football prowess that any of these "Heisman hopefully" can even lace up their cleats.

Ladies and Gentleman, my prediction for the 2006 Heisman Trophy winner::peace2: :peace2: :peace2:

My bet is Troy Smith wins it. It might come down to what Smith does against Michigan and what Quinn does against USC. My personal vote would go to Colt McCoy...I'm officialy on this kids bandwagon!
