Who u Pulling for: ND or BAMA?

I don't really care who wins. I will probably swap sides 3-4 times during the game.

St. Louis is very Midwest in some ways. There are a ton of Catholics up here that may be the biggest bunch of ND band wagon jumpers imaginable. So, my childhood disdain for has really been renewed this year with them being good.

There is a big part of me that would like to see Bama wreck that band wagon.

On the other hand, I go to church with a half dozen or so Alabama grads. If they win again, it won't be pretty. Although, I usually only see them at church. They can't be too awful there.

I believe most of you have it wrong... Notre Dame winning hurts us worse. As long as Saban is at Bama, Bama will sign a Top 5 class each year. What we DON'T need is Notre Dame becoming another recruiting juggernaut, especially now that Urban Meyer is recruiting at Ohio St.

We need Alabama to embarrass Notre Dame. As much as we hate Bama... This long streak of SEC national champions only strengthens the argument to recruits that they belong in the SEC. That argument alone gives us the advantage in recruiting over most schools.

" Hello, I'm Butch Jones, head football coach at the University of Tennessee. How would you like to be a Volunteer? Play in Neyland Stadium? Be apart of an alum family containing Peyton Manning, Jason Witten, Tee Martin, etc?

So now decide to come play in the SEC, where we, Tennessee, will get our ass beat by the eventual National Champions every year...."

Give me a break. Why would we want Alabama winning another Title. Is this gloating we hear now not enough? Seeing UT fans say "Roll ****" makes me physically ill. Alabama winning ANOTHER championship does absolutely nothing for Tennessee on the field or recruiting trail, or national perception.

I don't think I can cheer for either of them. The thought of the entitled ND fans celebrating nauseates me as much as the Bammer bandwagon necks.

About sums it up. Shame they can't both lose in embarrassing fashion.

. . . Bammer winning a national title hurts UT more than ND winning a title. Anytime you have one of your biggest rivals continue to win titles then it just makes it tougher for your own program to rebuild. . . .

I really don't see how either side winning matters that much in terms of recruiting. When Tennessee was good, they recruited well nationally. They were up against everyone. It's hard to imagine that a win or loss by either of the teams in the NCG taints their story very much - especially in terms of how they stack up against Tennessee. At this point, they are both obviously far superior.

Our recruiting pitch has to be more about the UT experience and tradition, being part of the return to greatness, you will have a chance to play early, etc. We have a long way to go before winning a NC is part of the sales pitch.

* while I'm on a roll, remember when UT won the BCS in '98 Bama wasn't very good. We need to prove our worth on the field, not boast about the merits of annual rivals in our own conference.

I'd much rather UT be competing for NC's and beating BCS bowl contenders, not slaughtered by eventual champs.

The ND bandwagon douchenozzles are the most repulsive people on earth. AL's inbred, entitlement rednecks are a better option.

+1

Their sense of entitlement makes Bama fans look humble by comparison. Bammers could only dream of the level of hubris routinely exhibited by ND fans, even when they're not winning.

Having said that, I will never root for Bama even if it benefits Tennessee in the standings.

On an average day, I deal with way more Alabama fans than ND fans. Therefore, **** Alabama and go Irish

ND I guess. I know it would make some of my friends really happy. I just hope for a good game. I have a feeling this is going to be a dud.

I will probably go to bed crying either way. Regardless this is a battle of the two dumbest fan bases in college football. (Those punk@ss Vandy fans are a close 3rd.)

I will give you Bama fans, but I don't think dumb is the right adjective to describe ND & Vandy fans. Arrogant, obnoxious, yes, but not dumb.

Don't care about conference affiliation. If the team don't have the power T on that helmet then it don't matter. That being said, GO IRISH!! Beat Bama!

Obviously you have never been around ND fans if you want to talk about gloating.. as far as recruiting goes it wont matter that much.. UT needs to win that will be the only thing that really helps..
