The most believable liar who promises freebies to "the poor" and taxes for "the rich".

It won't be Biden or Bernie. A more charismatic Democrat should step up. However, if everything is going well in America, some Dems may know better than to bother.

It will have to be someone that is acceptable to over 50% of the moron population. Same for the Repub nominee.

Granted I'm still in college so I'm sure the other Dems I'm around are younger, but despite Bernie's age he still has massive support. I think it could come down to Bernie/Biden in 2020.

Regardless, someone will need to step in and carry the torch of the left flank of the party. Think we need to see a consensus in party of single payer healthcare, tuition free college (for the record I'll be finished before this would go into effect), and massive tax reform to reverse current/Reagan Era changes.

Also, another vibe I get is that many of my younger Republican friends are absolutely done with Trump. Now, that doesn't mean they will vote Dem. But these are people who voted for him in 16 so that's good news at least.

Many Older Republicans seemingly will always support Trump but definitely enough instability for a strong Dem to win easily in 20.

There's no such thing. What you're advocating for is that people receive a higher education at someone else's expense. In other words, you work, I eat.

It's working in many countries in Europe, what if I told you we could cut military spending, still have easily the world's best military and provide tuition free education.

Plus any type of social program is built similarly. That is how taxes work, a more educated populace however benefits everyone in the country because companies flood to countries which have a qualified work force. So if I pay in and don't directly benefit then I still end up receiving the benefit of a better economy.

But regardless if you like it, public opinion continues to trend that way so suck it up, buttercup.

What's next? Should government provide free housing, free medical care and free food for its citizens?

By working if you mean watering down the value of a college education and making it no more than a glorified high school diploma then yes, its working splendidly.

The upside is with the free tuition the students can turn all of their potential earnings to work on offsetting the high cost of living. Then they can take that mundane degree and get an ok paying job with a 50% income tax rate to help pay for all of that free tuition. They will then find a nice and cozy 300 sqft apartment and a cheap bicycle and live the European dream!..

Gosh..after typing that it I feel like dropping everything and moving to Finland to work on another master's!

On who the nominee will be?

A woman for sure. Not White. Not super old. Deep ties to the LBGTTTQQWEERRTTYY group.

Campaign will rely on appealing to laziness and self guilt to win the election.

It needs to be free college for degrees that actually matter. There are already enough sociologists working Starbucks as it is. If you are going to do it and make it worthwhile for the country you will have to limit what degrees get it. It works in Europe and elsewhere because their classes are a lot more organized and you don't get to dick around for 3 years before declaring a major your senior year.

Agree. Could also restructure high school to specialize more. Another thing training to learn a skilled trade.

Government should absolutely provide free healthcare, taxes on highest earners were past 90% in the 1950s during a Republican Presidency. Now at 39%, even a small increase could easily provide both education and healthcare. Healthcare is a human right.

If you are saying we should just have market healthcare without requiring it, then you don't understand how healthcare works. Insured people pay for the uninsured. Many people don't want insurance until they get sick. Those people can't pick up costs when they do and that keeps rates high. If government provides care, we have better negotiating power and everyone is insured so volatility becomes a non issue.

Also, you didn't address the point I love best. Public Opinion especially among young people is trending heavily towards funding college and healthcare. You can't stop it and if you think you can I'd love to hear how and what your alternative is going to be.

No it's not.

IF you want health insurance buy it. Its pretty simple. Oh? Its expensive? Budget your money. Get a better job. Make more money. Simple things.

Its a personal responsibility issue.

Government care is the worst. Know how it works in Europe? Want that z-pak for a cold? Ok no problem. Oh you need a new liver graft? How old are you? Oh. Sorry. Have cancer? Again, how old are you? NEed to see a specialist? Ok we can pencil you in 6 months down the road and in the mean time try not to die or get worse..

Once they get jobs and start families the sane ones will finally understand why everything they stood for when younger was dumb. The younger peoples view on the world is shaped from being coddled and having zero real world experience. Toss in a healthy dose of not understanding how the world works (aka life is not fair) and you get the ideas you have mentioned/ typical democrat mentality.

What you have to understand is that there will always be the Haves..and Have Nots. No amount of social engineering is ever going to change that. Go back and brush up on the USSR for a refresher.
