I gave him a better shot at the popular vote this go around than the other 2. But that’s only because Kamala is F’ing awful. I mean, she’s so bad!!

Even still. I would have given her a 75-80% chance to win the popular vote. Mainly because California is still just so blue and so populated. I felt pretty good about him getting to 270. But I figured she would have gotten at least 1 of the blue wall states.

I’ll admit I saw no chance as he’s so polarizing. But you said what I think drove it also. The other choice was absolutely abysmal. Trump winning all of the swing states seems to echo that too.

I’ve asked myself a few times. What if the Democrats had not shat all over the process and installed a candidate?? What if they opened it up, had an actual open primary, and someone else had won?

I still think Trump beats a Gavin Newsome and any other of the far left lunatics. But I’m not sure he beats a more moderate candidate like Shapiro or someone in that mold. The margins were super tight in the blue wall states.
