who wins each conference?

Oh, I forgot. Past performance has absolutely no bearing on likely outcomes, since history never repeats itself.
Have you learned nothing from the Dooley debates? Sports are purely random. Nothing that has happened before in any way predicts what will happen next.

really??? wow!!!! i had no idea. This isnt a recent season. did you know that?

Droski...You do realize that Cal isn't going to be as good as they were last year, right? And we beat you by almost 40 last year. Just because the game is in Berkeley isn't that crucial.

outside of best, who was injured most of last season anyway, we don't lose anyone of note. the diffference this year is the schedule which is far more favorable than last year. and winning by 40 considering you lost the prior 3 games screams fluke. surely you have witnessed times where one team has gotten blown out by the other on the road and then won at home the next year? you don't think the cal players will be out for revenge? ask tenn fans how cal does in revenge home games.

oregon has barely been competitive with cal in berkeley since tedford arrived so i'm not sure what your logic is. cal has a .800 winning percentage at home since tedford arrived. cal is a horrible road team (like oregon). saying home field isn't relavant is a bit silly.

I find this hilarious coming from one of the biggest Fulmer Supporters on this board.

* Fulmer's last 8 years: 68-34 and 0 Conference Championships

* Tedford's last 8 years: 67-35 and 1 Conference Championship

let's not forget the team tedford inherited was 1-10 as well (and hadn't gone to a bowl for 5 years) rather than competing for national titles. and i'm actually one of few cal fans that thinks tedford has platued and has shown himself to be a good, not great coach. that isn't to say i don't think he can outcoach geniuses like chip kelly and slick rick.

Kinda makes me wonder exactly how good Cal could be on a consistent basis in modern times. Nat'l title contenders?

with top of the line facilities (coming in 2011, remember cal's facilities the past 70 years have been the worst in div 1a, yet we've had top-20 recruiting classes most years) and a coach who actually has balls (which tedford shows little signs of growing) cal could probably repeat 2004-2006. i.e. ranked top-15 most years, win 9 or 10 games most years, compete for a pac-10 title 60-70% of the time, got to a bcs every couple of years, and once in a blue moon with a nfl caliber qb (think aaron rodgers) compete for a national championship. despite our recruiting base and advantages i just can't see cal ever being an annual top-10 program though. best bet is someone like virginia tech.

And nice record comparison, too bad he wasnt 84-18 before that.

Tedford tied for it in 06. so as long as you are giving SC credit for their 2002 pac-10 championship when they lost to WSU head to head, cal get's it's 2006 pac-10 championship.

well for one thing tedford surely could have gotten the texas tech or louisville jobs if he had wanted them. two jobs fulmer went after hard and got no interest from.

But how would he be at playing a washed-up has-been Coach in a movie cameo?

it'd be a miracle if ucla finished in the top half of the pac-10 let alone won it outright.
