Who would you add??

No disrespect to Nico but I would take prime Hendon or Dobbs over him right now in his career. I would rather take another offensive guy and get another healthy OT. If I have to take a defensive guy probably would be Eric Berry. JRM would also be freaking terrifying in this defense; people forget how good he was.
Agree 100%, and I know you said Nico "right now", so it will be interesting to re-visit once we see Nico in his JR or SR year. Yeah, Hooker and Dobbs were great!

Deer lord, man. Use a comma.

We have done decently with QB room, yes.

Is that Huepel, Halzle, or Spyre?

Would agree about Banks and Garner. But what does that have to do with Offensive production? Really Garner is a shadow of his former recruiting self. Coach Chop is the one you give a title, and 'retain' all three.

We are 8-1, because of Dylan Sampson & our Defense. Nico has been good, not great. Let's not pretend he is singularly the reason we are where we are.

Additionally, I absolutely do blame offensive recruiting on the staff. Further, I also blame lack of Oline development on Glen Elarbee. Penalties, sacks, and lack of consistent push against inferior opponents. Its inexcusable Y4.

Our oline is average at best. Not having great success on trail for two cycles hurt us at that position. Also, running back. Why have we struggled to get the top RB talent, in spite of now having two, maybe three 1,000 yard rushers? Lewis and Seldon may be that guy, but right now. They aint.

Listen, there is no better coach for us. I think our frustration (or mine) stems from fact that we are so close to turning the corner, it is frustrating.
What are you even talking about?? Go ahead and get at me for punctuation but you don’t know squat. Hating on all or most of our coaches but then say there is no better option than the one we have. Then talk about recruiting?? Well that oline problem you are talking about we just got a top 5 recruit in the nation to help solve it. We have had a multitude of great running backs since I can even remember and that never seems to be a problem. How have we not turned the corner from where we had been for years and years? We are freakin 8-1 with a legitimate shot at making it to the SEC championship. I don’t know why your britches are so high but you need a reality check and be grateful we aren’t in the boat of Oklahoma, auburn, Florida, and miss st…geeezzzz

Take a deep breath, friend.

Ellarbee had a good year in '23. Outside of that we havent brought in caliber guys we need to be dominant. The Arkansas game, and really Florida games weren't great.

There really is no excuse for losing to that Arkansas team.

Is that hating on all the coaches? I think Halzle and Ellarbee have questions to answer at seasons end. Pretty sure i've been consistent in my bitching about them, week to week.

I can see we are pretty far apart. And some of us are perhaps in a more reasonable mood on this Choose-day. So, i'm choosing not to argue. I enjoy back and forths, but dont like trying to convince other people, esp those incapable of listening, or always thinking they're right, or know everything.

(cough, LittleVol, BoN).

I’m in a perfectly fine mood my man. Trust me that your comments don’t bother me 😂 I think any vol fan besides yourself would be okay with being 8-1 right now. Yeah we shouldn’t have lost to Arkansas but I think this team has outperformed up to this point and maybe you just don’t remember the bad days as a Vol fan. I think you should cheer up and be proud that our team is where they are. Florida game wasn’t that great😂😂 we never even used to beat Florida at all my man. A win is a win. Stop nitpicking

LBK,

I can assure you I do recall them. Ive witnessed first hand what winning and losing feel like, from 80's to now. Really after watching us drain swamp in 2003, it got ugly. UNLV in 2004 was an anomaly. 05 was a disaster. Man, Peach Bowls, wormburners, Clausens, Clawfences aka plays-in-space, Ainge injuries, Inky injuries, Music Cit Bowls, SECC games, Botch ball. That's just what ive seen in person. I will never forget sitting three rows back, in freezing cold watching us lose to Vandy.

I see us so close. But, also realize we are a premier program. There are no excuses for how OL has performed, or the WR for that matter. We have to have the Jimmys and Joes.

Yes, winning is fun. Lets start a dynasty, and run this beesh.

A win is a win. Perhaps. But beating your rival into absolute submission. And running up the score is better. 200-0, and it still wouldnt be good enough for Florida, Bama, KY, Vandy, or Georgia.
