If that's the rule then they need to mandate that the QB has to leave the field as soon as the ball is intercepted. Returns like that are usually chaotic and its asking a lot of the defenders to quickly tell who they can and can't block.

The tackle had been/was being made as it happened is the issue. In the zoomed out frame you can see Clinton-Dix falling down and then Murray is hit. The hit was unnecessary even more so than late and it was helmet to helmet. 3 ways to throw a flag and Ritter set on it.

You're a dumbass. The complaint has nothing to do with his position and that play had nothing to do with a good, clean necessary football play by taking out a potential defender. It was unnecessary and dirty if it was a RB.

No, it was helmet to helmet and should've been flagged. That moron does that in the NFL and his ass is suspended for games and fined out his ass.

Only because the commissioner of the NFL is the worlds biggest vagina. Big hits happen in football. If you can't take them then find a different line of work.

The play was still going on and Murray was angling toward the ball carrier. I don't have a problem with the block at all unless you want to say it was borderline as far as being helmet to helmet.

Yeah big hits happen. Nothing at all wrong with big hits, but that was a cheap shot. Like others said the hit was late. The qb was jogging when he was hit. Not like he was going in for the tackle.

Again, if he didn't want to get hit, he had the option to jog to the sideline. It's not like it would have been an unprecedented move. Peyton Manning has done it on more than one occasion. If you're on the field, you shouldn't get special consideration just because of the position you play. Everyone is fair game.

Silly argument. In reality it's not "necessary" that they even play football games in the first place. When you have a violent game being played by guys of such vastly different sizes, things like that are just going to happen from time to time.

Ok? The hit was illegal. Helmet to helmet hits can seriously hurt players. Some helmet to helmet hits may not be on purpose but this one defiantly was. That's my problem with the hit.
