i don't keep up with this side of the forum much, but rest assured i hear a lot from the coaches and kids in the community. This year will be a good class but i'm confident next year is gonna be incredible, maybe historical. If i'm wrong, unfortunately you can't revoke my vfl card. 😬😬. Kidding
Excuse my ignorance but who is VFL34?
Tennessee has reached the point where they can pretty much pick and choose who they want. This is a great problem to have. That's back to how it was when ole fulmer was at his peak.
Man I couldn't possible disagree any more. What are you basing that off of? We currently are barely within the top 20 with virtually every single rival team rea led higher than us. We need a massive finish for this class to not be a huge bust.
I'm certainly not down on the program right now. Things are going as well as they have in forever. And at least we got cam, jrm, and kamara back. In my mind that's the equivalent of a couple of 5 star recruits. However, we certainly can't pick whom ever we want. Otherwise we'd be ranked in the top 5
Ya. Well tee did right. He had goals to be an offensive coordinator and staying at USC not only kept his wife happy but he reached his goal. Coming here, he wouldn't have gotten that chance to be offensive coordinator, and he understood that. There was no hard feelings. Tee is a good man. Next step is head coach.
I'd beg to differ
JaQuan Bailey.
I think Simmons won't visit. I don't get a good vibe with Kongbo choosing us. Woods seems to have decided UT wasn't his best fit.
Bailey makes sense if he doesn't have to play at the same school as his brother.
My problem with him is more of a personal indictment. He has a teenage son he gets to see a few times a year due to begin cross country. He had a chance to come home and be a big part of his life at the most crucial time for a young man. And yet he chose a more favorable job over that. Maybe it's unrealistic for me to expect other people to act like my father (or the father I hope I am) but everything in life shouldn't revolve around the best job opportunity. What percentage of young black men grow up without their fathers around? Serious question. I don't know the number but it's a damn epidemic. And add tee to the list of half ass, uninvolved fathers.
I respect the hell out of this poster but he and I have a different definition of what a good man is. a man should be judged by his sense of responsibility and family values Above all else imo

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA there, brother...that is way over the line to judge a man's fathership by what you read online. We have absolutely no idea about Tee's relationship with his son, his relationship with his son's mother, his mother's relationship with her son, etc., etc., etc.
We have no reason, or right, to speculate about that family or that relationship between father and son. We have no reason to assume the worst about anybody, stereotypes be damned.
Just sayin...let's leave that alone, simply out of respect for a kid and his dad.
I'll erase the post...but it's not all purely speculation. There were comments from people around the family regarding the lack of involvement. He had a chance to come home and be involved but chose not to. You don't need a lot more information. I know people that deal with all kinds of craziness (baby momma drama ect) in an effort to remain involved. It'd be real easy for some of thm to say I'm moving 3000 miles away become the job there has more opportunity for a raise...but they don't. Props to those types of people
