I seemed to have misplaced my calendar. Does anybody know what month it is? The weather and foliage would indicate that it is early spring but that is just a general estimation. TIA.

No worries comrade. Remember Trump is a Russian/Chinese agent.

Anyway, I think this recruiting class is going to be a good one.

i knew he was nuts...but not this bad. it's fubar.

i knew my vote wouldnt mean **** in TN. So far he's noninated an anti abortion Justice, pretended to piss off Russians, given his daughter a job, and played golf.

anyway. back to cruiting.

Yeah, it's spring Glitch but we still only have 2 recruits committed no matter the foilage. Ha! :p

They're both really good ones, too.

Well, at least that's true about the situation with our recruiting. That's if we can trust Tae Taylor that is with his commitment. If he was to de-commit & get us down to one commit boy we're in real real trouble.

One commit for a P5 school in April? Northwestern & Northern Illinois would be doing better than that. :eek:hmy:Thanks.

No, not in a panic yet. I'm an honest man. I admit though that I'm quite a but beyond concerned about the recruiting situation just because of how it's going with these recruits visiting & committing on the spot or accepting an offer while visiting a school & committing that way.

While, on the other hand, we have recruit after recruit visit & can't get a sniff at a possible commit. It just seems really odd especially for the recruits that speak so highly of us. Thanks.
It's quite obvious that the word is out among prospects that we're probably going to have a coaching change or, if we don't, we're headed back down the pecking order in the East. We may do both. Our new staff are not sitting on multi year contracts and none were high demand candidates. Jones has a chance to flip the script this season but everything in his history here says it won't happen.

I do realize that but do you realize that about all P5 teams are killing us right now in getting recruit commitments? That's what I'm trying to get across. Once those good recruits are committed then unless we get some flips then we're out on those really good/top recruits.

When we only have 2 committed & one a question mark at this point in time it's time for some concern. Notice I did say concern & not panic. We could go on a commitment spree in the coming next 2-3 months but if we don't then we're in pretty big trouble recruiting wise for the 2018 class.

That's all I'm trying to say. We can't allow all those 4* & 5* recruits commit to all these other schools this early on without getting some ourselves. If so, we will be left with a bunch of 3* or below recruits again.

That's my honest opinion on our recruiting situation right now. I know we can't make any recruit commit but we've had so many talk so highly of us but nobody pulling the trigger. Thanks.

OH NO! The recruits are running out! WHAT DO WE DO? WHAT DO WE DO? I mean, if they commit early its guaranteed they will never decommit by Feb. Thanks!

In seriousness, it does appear that we've crossed a point where people are seeing things very differently and it's obvious that the dividing line is the amount of faith that one has in Coach Jones to raise the ceiling and build upon what he's done here thus far. I don't know how many prospects we should have committed right now. I do know that we've had two signing days in a row that were not what we hoped for and a third straight will not be easily overcome on the field. We're currently being outpaced on the numbers but it doesn't look like anyone in the SEC is killing it on elite talent at this point. Maybe we've got a fighting chance at a good haul regardless of outcome this season or maybe prospects are going to stay cool on the Vols until they see what happens on the field in 2017, which is kind of a scary proposition knowing the schedule and the playmakers that we lost.

Agree. My biggest concern next season is at LB.
