It ain't that hard for DC and Puerto Rico. MAGA!

"New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress."

Small states are getting a much bigger say in who gets on the court - CNNPolitics

Key from the article
"One way of measuring the difference is to assign half of each state's population to each senator. Measured that way, the 51 Republican senators now represent about 143 million people, according to the latest Census Bureau state population estimates. The 49 Democratic senators represent about 182 million people, nearly 40 million more. That's about 2.8 million people per Republican senator and 3.7 million people per Democratic senator."

The obvious answer is to raise taxes in California, New York, etc and make people leave the state and move to Florida, Tennessee, Texas etc

Less than 50% of the population controls 82% of the Senate. Fundamentally why we're in the mess we are. Full steam ahead with some more states.

Let's split up America. Then you can have all the Bern you want. States can declare their government of choice. True 'State's Rights'. We can have a unilateral agreement on coastal maritime ports and interstate commerce amongst all states that 'guarantees' peace among neighboring states. Sound good?

I want popular vote for president, but I’m okay with states getting equal representation in the senate. I do think states like Montana would get ignored otherwise.

It’s almost like we’re a Republic of equal states. If only there were a Congressional body which weighted the population over the states as peers. Like a “House” of representatives of those people... 🤔

Who wouldn’t want a debt ridden cesspool of corruption? It will fit in well with Detroit and Chicago, amirite? Every successful nation needs to adopt additional massive debts because another political party within that nation is triggered.

The Senate wasn’t set up for equal representation of citizens it’s was set up for equal representation of the constituents of the Republic... the states. And you know it.

This is an article about the court, where the House is not involved in either nominating or confirming. If it were this would not be an issue.

It’s only an issue from your perspective. The House was never meant to have a say in the judicial appointments process.
