Why did Coach Drink say this to CJH?

Can't complain about that. It's exactly what Heupel has done the last 3 years vs Mizzou. It's up to us to stop them. If we can't, that's on us. If this team and staff don't like being embarrassed, do something about it.
The last 2 years. This is his 3rd year šŸ˜ž

I have no issues with Eli or his comment to Josh on the field. I do kinda think it fairly child-like to make the comment on CBS post game. The ā€œkicking oursā€ reference and the chant of ā€œoverratedā€ raining down from the student section after the game seemed to dampen the accomplishment of your best career win though. And Iā€™m sure those utter demolitions at the hand of the Vols last two years provoked the sophomoric response.šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

This is the Non-Snowflake mindset. Nice post.

Thank you. I just donā€™t get all of the whining. You can be as angry as you want but donā€™t hate Drink for coming in with a solid game plan and winning. I actually give the guy some credit, last year when he was asked about us running up the score he basically said ā€œthis is sec football, we shouldā€™ve stopped themā€. Turnabout is fair play. Deal with it.

It happens. Some would say the way we acted after beating Bama last year was the same way. It was a big win for them. They wanted revenge for the buttkickings we gave them and they got it. Is what it is.

Is there a history here? Did CJH say something that might have pissed him off after the last couple beat downs we gave them? Also notice after he says it he practically runs away.

I read somewhere that Drink made a comment sometime after last year's game that they had "some unfinished business" and this year's comment was "we took care of business".

Well, he wasn't wrong. And yeah, Milton was bombing away with 59 on the board and we punched it in for a TD w seconds to play. Sucks but you have to give them credit.

Heā€™s the kid that would stand behind his locked storm door and talk smack to the kid standing on the front porch. His team played well, Vols didnt.

He took issue with Heupel running up the score throwing for two TDs under 4 minutes, both passes. Think what really irked him was Heupel took a timeout at the very end to make sure he had time to score another TD. Thatā€™s why he took a timeout at the end when UT was trying a FG and the huge grin on his face when he missed.

The guy can not recruit worth a damn. He had better savor this .... How many coaches survive in the SEC recruiting as poorly as he does? Hell, Derek Dooley was a better recruiter.

Drink wonā€™t even be their coach the next time we play them.
They are having one of the worst SEC recruiting cycles I've ever seen from a school not named Vanderbilt. Good thing they were able to buy Nwaneri. They would be somewhere in the 50's without him. I can't imagine the meltdown in the recruiting forum if we were ever recruiting like that in November.

He's a complete boob. Not quite the carnival barker that Beamer and Butch are. He's a different kind of boob. A nerd, even.
The whole "coach Drink" thing is cringe too. He needs to quit playing games with that comb over/visor combination and shave his head.

Agreed. We need to remember that losing sucks and we can't sit around and act like the winning team we're the bad guys because they kicked the **** out of us.

Heupel will turn into the terminator our next game with Drinkwiss and seek total annihilation.

I mean....I don't think in this era of the CFP any team should ever be "offended" by another team running up the score, nor should a team hesitate to do so.

Look at Washington. Outside looking in right now, though undefeated. What's the only thing they could do to make a stronger point? It's not just enough to win, you have to dominate and leave no doubt. If you stay classy, you likely lose in the polls.

So, hats off to Missouri. They won and handled business, and they look great in the polls because of it.

(One of my favorite memories was when we played them, scored a TD on every possession and never punted. That was a dream game.)

We will play them again .... and it will be in Neyland Stadium next time. Like I have said repeatedly in this thread, that geek better start recruiting better, or we will score 60+ once again.

Mizzou coach has probably been dreaming about that scenario every night the last 2 years and how badass he was going to be by guving Huep a drive by handshake and telling him "We stand on business!"

Instead it looked like an 11 year old girl running up to some boy she likes saying "your ugly" and immediately running away.

Bring a more physical team next time. Don't let two guys basically kick your whole team's azz. Scoring more than 7 points would help also.
True, but if Drinkwitz is gonna talk šŸ’© like that he shouldnā€™t come up and say it and then immediately run off like a sissy p#%syā€¦.. I have to deduct points

It was the running off right after saying it that got meā€¦.. he looks like a bitch to me
