Why did Georgia not offer Dobbs?

I was just checking out a few of the recruiting pages on Dobbs and noticed that Georgia didn't offer him, despite him being a pro-style QB of extremely high intelligence from their area.

Does anyone know of any reasons why Richt would pass on him? Did he attend any of their camps/campuses? Did Richt ever show interest?

Seems ridiculous to me that they didn't offer him
Dobbs committed early to Arizona. UGA's idea of an aerospace program is launching UGA XXXXXXXIIIIVVV into space by using his dog turds as rocket fuel.

I swear this is true. :dance2:

Nice edit. I just caught that as well. Both seem to be very good QB's. just saw their class from last year and was in awe. This year is our turn

thanks...I knew they got the kid they were wanting. I just was looking at the wrong year to get the right name on rivals. Had to correct it fast or get flamed

Same thing

Go to Tucson and tell the University of Arizona that they're just Arizona State University by any other name. You will not depart with your life. On being shipped home, take a detour to Phoenix. Be sure a pre-written note is placed on your corpse that says Arizona State University is the University of Arizona by any other name. The ASU will bring you back to life and kill you again. I lived in Arizona before. If you think the bad blood betwit the UT and VU is bad, you don't even know what bad is. UA fans went to a ASU football game in Mesa in droves to cheer for UCLA. ASU fans went to a NCAA preliminary tournament practice facility where the UA team was practicing. The UA had 3 point sharp shooter Steve Kerr. The ASU fans chanted, "Steve, Steve, where's your dad?" over and over. To understand this, Steve's father was one of the slain hostages in that Lebanon incident when Reagan was President. The hatred between the two is SICK. So you go to Arizona and tell these people what you said above. Finally, what you said would be equivalent if they said the UT and TSU were one and the same. Or worse yet, that the UT and VU are the same. I know you're just being snide, but having lived there and seen what I've seen, it just stuns me to this very day.

Probably should contact Coach Richt.

This is correct. I know Brice personally we grew up in Camden County GA where he played QB. He's a helluva kicker as well. :hi:

I lived in Camden for a while when my dad was stationed in Jacksonville. Beautiful place and the fishing is unreal. That fresh water/salt water mix is crazy.

Are you mad chief? jk...I never knew it was that bad.

Because with the system the run...they like to have a midget playing qb. And they got a pretty good one right now

Go to Tucson and tell people you work for border patrol and you won't be around for long either!

Ramsey was going to be the one and only guy. He had been recruited for a long time and committed very early. There was no need to recruit anybody else.

There's a massive amount of legitimate prospects in Metro Atlanta area. Logistically they just can't offer everyone. That being said, the fact that UGA can't maximize on the amount of in-state talent they have is mind-boggling to me. Gwinnett County alone probably has just as much talent/prospects if not more than most of the state of Tennessee, at least in my opinion. Rant aside, I for one hope four years from now UGA feels the same bitter regret that we've felt in the past about not seriously pursuing players like Patrick Willis and Randall Cobb in-state and are left asking "what the hell were we thinking?"

Not just Gwinnett has massive talent. Cobb and North Fulton(where Dobbs went to school) have just as much talent. UGA gets to pick and choose who they want and let some talent slip away.

Dobbs will be a pretty good QB in time, he needs to mature plus put on a few pounds to be ready for the big boys.

It's not really that bad but I do have a question. Why did they go watch a football game in Mesa? Even UofA students should be smarter than that

It's because of the staff there. They didn't want to recruit anyone who would come into there "fyne enstemuhtooshun" and be smarter than their Professor's and Coach's!

They should of recruited another one to go along with him. Richt will be wishing he had. He is a better kicker than he was a QB and that is not putting the kid down that is just a fact.

I think Dobbs got turned off to Georgia when he went to a game there, and saw the cheerleaders grazing during halftime.

You may be right. I'll get back to you in three to four years on that.
