You always fill an opening with someone who will take it. You're wording it differently than the other person but it is still projecting. You have no idea if this was a panic hire. I agree with your last sentiment... I think Butch is going to get the job done.

You can take a second look for me, but I don't see any cities Michigan boasting any growth. Love how you Northerners bash the South, and yet when you screw your economies up come running down South to Tennessee looking for jobs all the while bragging about how great your state is. There is a reason when you interlopers initially move to East Tennessee that most of us would rather take your heads off your shoulders rather than give you the time of day.

I live in ATL and am surrounded by alum of both SEC and ACC schools. Have you guys been awake the past 10 years? We are a freaking joke. Back to back losing season, Kiffin bolted, kids robbing gas stations withbb guns using a prius as a getaway car, we fired our basketball coach because he had a BBQ, players stealing from each other, we have a president from FL who eats buggers during press conferences, we are broke, Kentucky beat us, Gators have won 8 in a arow, Bama has 6 in a row and counting, Tee Martin turned us down, alum dui incidents, 13 players on the field, butt chuggers, shower edicate, Doolander on the rock, hostess-gate, we turned Kevin Sumlin away, we lost to Wyoming during home coming, 2010 Music city bowl loss, We lost to maryland by 30 in the peach bowl, 2005 we were ranked #2 in preseason and we had a losing season, Chris Simms said we were racist, then we took his little brother over Cam Newton. Pat Summitt... bless her heart. Did I cover it all?

this may have been pointed out already, but if we "settled" for Jones, Alabama "settled" for Nick Saban.
