Lets see.....there are so many reasons. But the one for me that gets me the most is that I grew up losing to the gators year after year, just like my dad growing up with the same experience losing to Alabama. We only won against them 3 times in the 90's, so that was part of it. By the time we won in 98', we had lost to them 5 straight times, so you can imagine how glad I was to finally see them get a victory. Since then the series has been back and forth. UT and UF have actually split the last 6 games, so it has only gotten more competitive. That being said, I HATE Florida with a passion, with the TIDE being second on my list of most hated rivals. If you didnt grow up in the era of Spurrier being head coach, then its hard to understand. He was always so cocky and just knew how to get inside Fulmer's head. He always came in knowing he had won before he stepped on the field and that drove me crazy.
