So he played 2 more games and passed for 340 fewer yards in a supposedly more explosive offensive scheme?Peyton Manning's Statistics:

While I agree that Nico's year seemed to be less than stellar, when you compare Nico's 2024 year to Peyton's 1995 year the results are similar. Nico played 2 more games in 2024 than Peyton did in 1995. But the averages are not that far off.
Nico's play doesn't give me the same feeling that I had watching Peyton play. However, the numbers make me pause and gives me hope that Nico can perform. I will say Peyton had a much better offensive line in front of him throughout his career compared to what Nico has this year. The future will tell.
Not a chance they paid the full amount up front. If they did, someone needs to be fired for stupidity. I doubt they paid the year up front. I think regular scheduled payments is the logical way to do it. He's an employee so treat him like it. Do you get your full annual salary on Jan 1? Me neither. What if the basketball team paid Carr up front? They'd now be forced to take the kid to court. Nah. Things don't work that way...or at least they shouldn't.Does anyone know how his $8 million was/is doled out?
All eight at once or two per year?
I’ve never seen a college player leave after their sophomore season. Most leave after their junior year.I'm genuinely asking. I hear this statement a lot. It's possible that may end up being the case but, as things stand, it's nothing close to certain. Given his performance this season he hasn't shown enough to draw serious NFL interest. Even if he has a decent year next year I still don't think that's enough to make him a serious NFL prospect. Might he test the portal after next season given the circus it's become? Maybe. Or maybe he decides to stay another year at the school that's done the most for him, continues making a ton of money playing college ball, and establishes himself as one of the most experienced QBs of the conference by that time. I'm genuinely curious as to how you guys see this. Personally, I have no agenda and I'm not necessarily hoping for any particular outcome. I just want the players that give us the best chance to win to play. If that's Nico, cool. If not, then bring in the guy that's proven to be better.
He left Ohio State after 2018. He redshirted a year, sat a year, then started basically one season. He started less than 20 college games, I think, before going in the draft. His story is not pretty and he passed away at about 25yo.Rlly? I’ve been watching since 06 and I rlly can’t think of a guy. That’s interesting , what year was that , and what team did he play for ?
If Nico does well this year how about you kick rocks. Don’t talk about a players family, especially when all they are doing is showing support to their son. And any dad worth a damn would make sure their son is taking care of, and one more thing , Nico was gonna get paid regardless of where he went.Nico won’t be here in 2026 no matter what. Either he kills it and goes to the nfl or underperforms and hits the road to a new school. He didn’t deserve a raise this year, and if he doesn’t get better and earn the money he’s making he’ll be asked to leave. Just my opinion. I hope his little league dad understands at some point his boy is gonna have to produce, and there’s plenty of talent coming at QB by 2026 that nobody’s worrying about his son leaving. His parents were more worried about their son getting more money undeserved than the team having more money to surround their son with better talent. Love Nico but his parents can go kick rocks
That kid is the REAL deal!...He could end up being our best QB ever...His highlights are out of this world good.Faizon Brandon is coming in and if Nico doesn't take several steps forward this season, Nico will be in danger of losing his starting role to Faizon. From what I've seen, Faizon looks like a true dynamite prospect
