Don't follow this much, but I do know that Bobby Maze said he was the best pure athlete that ever came through his program.

Definitely does not seem like a Barnes player. Anyone got a scouting report on him? All the highlights i saw was just hom shooting

We didn't heavily pursue before, and I doubt we do now. He wasn't all about Tennessee to begin with, either. Mutual decision.

I have been told the feeling is mutual. Cain isn't a big fan of Barnes and vice versa. I hope Cain ends up at a quality school which I am sure he will

Wow, threw me into a flashback mode..... Back in the early 70's at a convenience market in Nashville I looked up while paying and Johnny was at my left shoulder and Edgar was at my right shoulder with cash in hand. Pretty sure it was on Division Street close to 21st ave. , not far from Music Row. Was used to seeing Country artists around the area, but they were a bit of a shock. Wow, almost exactly 50 years ago.

Who are some other athletes that came through his program? I don't know the answer but the point is that statement holds no meaning unless there are some pretty athletic guys that came through before him. Context is key. Imagine If I coached the worst school in the history of schools and we'd never had a center over 6 feet tall. I could have a guy that's 6'3" 220 in terrible shape and be like he is the most dominant physical force this program has ever seen.

Looking at his tape he looks average as far as athleticism. I mean I dont look at that tape and be like 'oooo thats the next Mac McClung'. He looks like a typical lanky wing. Not unathletic but athleticism is not what pops off the screen for me.

He's had some good ones. Jordan Bowden, Jaden Springer, Tee Higgins to name a few. I really don't know any more than that. Never seen the guy play.

He has a good amount of video out there.. hes a good player kind of a slasher who seems to love the Eurostep. In fact he looks like a skinny Ginobli when he plays. He is by no way unathletic but Athletic is not a word I would use to describe him. I do not think I have ever heard 6'4 180 and athletic as a description. when I look at his game He is built like a slightly skinnier Keon Johnson. Has a nice jumper can score off the bounce and slash to the rim. He looks like he can hop a bit but wouldn't expect like a 42-inch vert or anything crazy like that. He looks soft in the build. I know it sounds like I'm tearing into the guy but lol I think he's a great player the athletic thing is what throws me off athletic compared to what? He's a bucket that's what he is.

A great athlete ,but is he any good on the defensive end? That could explain the mutual lack of interest between him and Barnes and the chance of getting a local kid. Got to fit the style that Barnes coaches.
