Why is Antifa tolerated? Because they're left wing?

Beating the hell out of or killing anyone over politics is stupid. I don't care if it's extreme left or extreme right, it's just an insane response to a difference in political views.

Being shocked/sympathetic when one of these ANTIFA clowns gets put in a pine box is equally as stupid, and it will happen before long.

I’m completely apathetic about every one of those bastards.

I love O Brother and The Big Lebowski, just not as much as RA and Miller's Crossing. Miller's Crossing is a fantastic film. Other than Goodfellas, probably my favorite gangster film.
What is America's obsession with gangster films?

Why hasn't the term 'hate crime' been uttered? Mr Ngo certainly meets the definition of a protected class does he not? Oh but I guess the addition of 'conservative' does the same thing for him that Mark Furman being a racist did for OJ.

I've never seen RA or Miller's Crossing, I'll add them to my list. Especially if it is on par with Goodfellas.

Not a film, but have you watched the Sopranos? That is my favorite gangster "film", and frankly close to my favorite drama period. If it wasn't for Mad Men, Tony would be number one.

This may have been brought up already so SIAP but at some point it is nigh inevitable that one of these masked people is going to be killed or critically wounded by some would be victim or someone acting on on their behalf. Now the circumstances surrounding the incident would have a slew of variables but how the media handles the situation will be telling. If the narrative skews sympathetic, or even towards some degree of martyrdom, things could go badly pretty quickly.

No reason to stop there. While it will easily be self defense, the left will go nuts trying to say it should've never happened.

So lets review.

Antifa attacks Republicans - crickets

Republican drops one - OMG he needs to hang. Antifa was just peacefully protesting.

You have one of these "incidents" and one (or more) of these masked people get put down hard. (not necessarily killed but well and truly f'd up) How large will the narrative be that this was just somebody fighting for rights/freedom/whatever? At a minimum I would expect some far left outliers to practically lionize these people and start printing Che Guevara shirts with this guy's face. Crazy gonna crazy. What will be interesting is how far towards the middle might such sentiment creep in the broader sense? I don't know, and as I said the circumstances would certainly matter, but it could get weird really fast.

I don't think you'd see the upswell you are thinking.

I wasn't making a prediction other than it seems extremely likely, assuming ANTIFA keeps up it's current shenanigans, something very bad is going to occur. From there it's a "So how is this going to be viewed?" question. FWIW I hope you're right.

This seems accurate.

It's already happened. They pretty much fight every week in Portland. Andy Ngo, in a demonstration of how he's such a removed, detached journalist, posted a video a few days before he was attacked showing an ANTIFA guy getting decked with one punch from a proud boy.

Yea, thats why that gay journalist deserved that.

Not saying he deserved getting attacked. He was clearly not engaging in anything that warranted that attack.

I looked for his post and it looks like Ngo has now deleted it. I wonder why?

Intimidation works.
