Why is Arch Manning not playing? Nico syndrome?

Huge...huge difference going from high school to major college football. Coaches that are getting paid millions are paid those amounts to win football games with the best players that are ready.

And some coaches get paid millions not to win games, even get paid to leave, right Jimbo? Don't know why but I never liked the guy.

You'd never have guessed that from his genetics.

What's more surprising is he's a runner. I'm betting he could outrun Peyton in the 40 even if he ran backward.

He’s athletic like his dad Cooper and grandfather Archie. Unfortunately for Peyton and Eli, they didn’t inherit their dad’s excellent athleticism.

Arch could potentially be a blend of all the Mannings. I’m excited to watch him develop.

Arch Manning is rated the greatest quarterback of all time even better than Nico. He has not played any, right? Even when Ewers was out with an injury he did no play. According to Texas fans he is great. Coaches see him in practice all of the time and still won't let him play. Sound familiar? Don't these coaches know anything?

Note: players can play in four games and still redshirt.
It is very rare to see a true freshman QB lead a team to success. It's happened before, but those are always incredible stories. It's better to get a year of learning, growing, and experience under the belt.

Manning has potential, but watching his HS film I wonder how much his last name played into his recruiting rankings/hype. The odds his career is in the same atmosphere as his uncles is low.

So you think Josh Heupel is a bush league coach who'd play an inferior player on purpose?

That's what you're saying unless you've had a better look at Nico's practice and film than Coach Heupel and Halzle.

Anyone is better than Milton. Literally, 11 or 12 of the 14 QBs in the SEC have a better QB rating.

U think Milton was clearly the better option? I won't find one time that u have called for Nico to replace Milton 1 time?
Alot of injury rotation on the Oline this year. Mays barely played half a season himself. We've been knee deep in a ankle deep roster this season. Lots of injuries accross the board. Some season ending. The only thing you would accomplish throwing Nico to the wolves this year would be to get him banged up. Milton was the right choice for the season, and the outcome for the season would not really have changed. It was pretty sucessful considering all the roster suffling on both sides of the ball.

Arch ain’t playing because Quinn Ewers is good.

I think they meant in garbage time. I felt the same about Tennessee, let's see the backup in the blowouts (both ways). I think it is redshirt push by both teams but that is silly because I doubt these QBs stay 3-4 years.

Maalik Murphy was the backup, not Arch.

When you're QB3, you don't get many snaps.

Texas has a solid QB room. I think Arch may regret going there. He should have went to Ole Miss, he could have been a big fish in small pond and Kiffin knows how to coach QBs.
Arch and the family didn't go to TX blind. He's got a long, hopefully barring injury, career at the next level.

He's a decent draft pick for the NFL without a stunning college career. There is zero rush for him to be a "big fish" anywhere. He was already a prospect when he was born.

A stellar college career is WAY overrated for Arch Manning. Unless he's a complete frozen toad behind center, he's just biding his time, not getting injured, getting an education, and waiting to declare for the draft when he feels ready.

So u think Milton was clearly better then Nico? Redshirt doesn't matter for Nico. He's 3 and done anyways. U can't tell me they didn't believe Nico couldn't give us a better chance to win games

A Manning won’t play for Kiffin. Uncle Peyton is not one to mince words when asked his opinion on Kiffin on multiple occasions.

I honestly think huepel had to much loyalty to Milton. Since Milton stayed at Tennessee after Hooker took over, didn't transfer and was a good team mate huepel couldn't pull the trigger and play Nico. That's 100% my honest opinion
One of my greatest regrets as a coach was starting a freshman before he was ready. I chose talent over experience and the freshman suffered for it. Cutting a cake before its baked is a bad idea.
