Why is Biden given a free pass to consistently say racist things.

“Yes,” Biden said when NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro asked if he’d “reengage with Cuba” on the topic of political asylum.

“And by the way,” he continued, “what you all know, but most people don’t know, unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.. you go to Florida, and you find a very different attitude about immigration in certain places than you do when you’re in Arizona.”

There, now you have a more complete quote.

Yeah, and in case you missed it, the "slave state" comment had nothing to do with being proud of it. Seems more to do with which party African-Americans reject, and it's not the Democrat.

The full quote isn’t any better, he’s saying all black people (with notable exceptions) think alike.

No he isn't, he's saying they are not as "incredibly diverse" in their political convictions, which are influenced by their various cultural backgrounds, and are less likely to agree on those unique issues. The Immigration/asylum question serving as the example.

He could have conveyed it better, but those leaving out the whole context did so intentionally, of course.

He is saying they more uniformly agree on major issues.
Do you disagree?

I have no problem with him saying it and what he said was true. I just want Trump to have the same freedom to say such things without the Press and haters on social media climbing all over him for it

They don't disagree on things as much as Latinos, because there is less cultural diversity (regional politcal influences) in the AA community.

Literally no one is excited about voting for Biden. He's just another old, racist white dude.

This whole election is 100% about getting that orange sh*tpile some of you dipsticks voted for out of office.

In fairness, he has a point. I've wondered the same thing. In Presidential election after election blacks pretty much vote 90+ for one party (Dem). In 2012 there were some black precincts (one in Philly) that voted 24K-0 Obama over Romney. Where else do we see this? We don't see whites, Latinos, Jews, Asians vote for one party 90% of the time. Why do blacks vote with a pack mentality?

Zero votes in a precinct for a presidential candidate: It happens, and experts say it's not voter fraud

What he said and what he meant were not intuitively the same, especially without the he full context.

I don't plan on treating anyone differently when it comes assessing the intent of statements. Maybe I'll fall for something, though, if some details are omitted.

Cultural diversity? You mean they all live in the ghetto?

I have several black friends and I would not call their thinking or opinions anything close to uniform. They are as individual as white people or Latinos.

What are their thoughts on extending political asylum to Cubans? Do you think they will disagree as much as Latinos from Florida, and those from Arizona?

I’ll admit that I don’t know very many black people but I know a few pretty well and have to agree with you. All of the AAs I know grew up in rural areas and they are not in lockstep with each other let alone ones from more urban areas.

Several black friends?? Well look at you.
Do they mostly vote democrat?
I have several NRA supporting friends and I would not call their thinking or opinions anything close to uniform......but they all do seem to vote repub. Go figure.

So is what you are getting at is that Joe was really saying he had most of the black vote in the bag and the Latinos are a little harder to round up into a single victim category?
