Why Is Everyone Turning On Heupel?

I cannot believe the comments I’m reading in some of the threads. This season has been a success and not one logical person thought we’d beat Bama and be ranked in the Top 10 at this point in the season. Remember the god awful mess Heupel inherited with all the drama surrounded with the NCAA and numerous players transferring? I don’t know about you but I don’t miss having a boring offense who struggled to score against Vandy and Georgia St. Whoever is complaining about Heupel at this point should just stop watching sports all together.

This was NOT going to be an easy rebuild.

I don't go to Bama boards but I'll bet Saban is getting some criticism too. Are they "turning on him" if they are critical when the team fails to meet expectations?

That's coaching at a level higher than middle school. There are expectations and when the team doesn't meet those expectations, criticism follows for the head coach, the staff, and the players.

If you recall the Pruitt continuing failure to meet expectations, weekly insistence that JG was doing fine, his failure to be even coherent in pressers..... then VN turned on him. We wanted him gone.

I've not seen anyone that isn't an obvious troll saying "Let's move on from Heupel." Josh Heupel has done a fantastic job but like any other coach he's not above criticism.

Until we found out differently there are 2 Banks at fault here... Coach Banks for not making adjustments in the second half and Jeremy Banks for letting his team down. We don't know the whole story, whether it be grades or a fight. Either way he let something in his control get out of hand to the point he didn't make the trip. He's an integral part of our defense and he wasn't there..

I haven’t seen it happen really, but if it’s true then yes stop turning on our coaches. They need to be focused on getting ready for the game, not romanced.
