Why is offense so bad?

Nico is a redshirt freshman that plays like a true freshman.
WR’s aren’t good.
An apprentice for an offensive coordinator.

I understand that splitting receivers out wide spreads the defense on running downs, etc. By default, our wide outs can only run so many routes when they are that wide. The sideline is helping the secondary on passing downs. Why are we not able to get creative with formations? I’m convinced Nico’s understanding of this offense is holding us back.

Well for one, our quick-to-the-line philosophy used to give us a nice edge. Our offense was better when we did that... so naturally we don't anymore.

RBs are the only unit on offense that’s really exceptional, and that’s probably the unit most dependent on the rest

Or the WR's suck. Damn sure not the best unit in the conference. Bru is the ONLY WR playing every day that will play in the NFL. None of them have gotten better with Pope. None.
