I think the comment by "Illini_Steve" summed it up nicely,

I lived in Japan for 5 years. When I first arrived, a friend told me that if you owned a Rolls Royce, you could park it on the busiest street, leave the keys on top of it and return the next day and the keys would be where you had left them. I found over time that he was absolutely correct. Japanese people are very well educated and have a very high level of respect for each other. Japan will be finished rebuilding before New Orleans, Haiti and The 9/11 site. They will work together and they won't need billions of dollars from the U.S. to do it.

Some of that is the fact that the majority of the population is older (50+). However, as a culture that kind of respect and pride is ingrained.

Impossible, all that is moral and good comes only from Christians and the bible. The Japanese are godless heathens.

in LG's mind, because the article specifically mentions looting after Katrina and the earthquake in Haiti but no looting in Japan, there must be racism at work. Since I created a thread about it, I am therefore racist as well.

as I said, LG can go attempt a physical impossibility.

I just think that given the OP's track record of "innocent questions" here in the past, and given the underlying tenor of the article, its a fair inference as to the point. Of course, doing it in this manner he can post it without really saying it, and then cry foul when someone has the nerve to criticize.

Whatever.

if I have a track record, then you should be able to provide evidence to prove your point.

The problem with liberals like you, LG, is that you want to be able to call anybody who isn't a liberal a racist, and you get away with it while in whatever little circle of friends it is you have. It must be uncomfortable for you here, knowing that this isn't the echo chamber you're used to from your friends and colleagues.

Before we start talking about how great their culture is, they committed some pretty infamous war crimes during WWII. Many other Asian countries like China, Korea, Philippines, etc still hate them for they way they were treated during WWII. I'm not ready to put them on the moral pedestal yet.

There are no uneducated inner city folks who are lazy and don't want to work. I said it. Got a problem with it?

And by lazy and uneducated I mean black, white and mexican. From my personal experience though, I've never met a single lazy asian person. Their culture places a high regard on having a job.
