Why is there no looting in Japan?

Exactly what I was referring to the other day. You are making a major assumption and labeling it as virtual fact.

Ever wonder why you see race in everything? I'm sure Dr. Freud would have an answer.

You missed my other point itt, which is that by posting the question, the OP implies the answer. When anyone points out that what he is insinuating is racist, he denies that we got the insinuation correct. And then defies us to prove what was in his head (when we all know EXACTLY what it was, but by definition can't prove it).

Fox News has become expert at this. All day long the banners at the bottom of the screen will ask loaded questions, the answer to which is clearly anti-Obama or even itself racist, but leaving them room to deny it.

I'venot much else to say on the point. I think it is blatantly, 100 % obvious and indisputable what the article and the OP are suggesting. And I think it also obvious that it was done in this manner so as to leave room to equivocate.

LG, you've got issues.

well done. You think I'm a racist, but you can't prove I'm a racist, but you're ok with throwing out the accusation because I asked what you think is a loaded question when all I did was use the article's headline (actually, it was a blog post) for the title of the thread.

You're a truly brilliant guy, LG.

I listened to a few servicemen this morning who had spent time over there and not a single one of them used race as a reason.

LG assumes that everyone else wrestles with the same inner demons that he does. Isn't that called "transference"?

Yep.

That's all you did.

No offense, but have you guys actually worked for a Japanese company before? I had several friends who interviewed with them who turned them down because of how insulting they were in their interviews. Asking graduate engineers if they knew how to convert from English units to metric, etc.

I've got a good response for this, but I'll wait for LG's drivel to play out.

There is a psychological term for someone who imposes their attitude or mindset on someone else (especially an opponent). It is very likely based on your comments over time here that you have race based biases and hatreds... and since you do, you think those who disagree with you do as well in the opposite direction.

Fox News has become expert at this. All day long the banners at the bottom of the screen will ask loaded questions, the answer to which is clearly anti-Obama or even itself racist, but leaving them room to deny it.
You have a real problem LG. Not every person or comment that disagrees with your warped liberal view of the world is racist. Some of us really, really do see black people as our equals. Equals in opportunity. Equals in rights. Equals in responsibilities. You should try looking at the world in a truly color blind way some time.

As for FoxNews, read Bernie Goldberg's analysis of the left wing media some time. What you are noticing about the scrolling headlines is EXACTLY what conservatives see and complain about from the supposedly objective MSM. Bias shows up in wording. It shows up in context. It shows up in editing. It shows up in what is deemed newsworthy.

You complain about a recent phenomenon in FNC. One lone channel with a leans right perspective on the news... while ignoring almost 100 years of left wing, progressive bias in the MSM.

I am not denying that Fox is right leaning... neither do they. But you need to WAKE UP to the left wing bias in almost every other major news outlet- print or TV.

I'venot much else to say on the point. I think it is blatantly, 100 % obvious and indisputable what the article and the OP are suggesting. And I think it also obvious that it was done in this manner so as to leave room to equivocate.

You mean that you cannot make a negative comparison no matter how manifestly true it is without it being deemed racist? Maybe you missed it. Nashville was flooded last year. People came out of the woodwork to help their neighbors. There was very little looting. There was almost no one whining that the Federal gov't didn't ride to the rescue though Obama gave far less notice to it than Bush did NOLA. There weren't wide spread reports of refugees vandalizing church gyms and homes where they were allowed to stay.

Many poor people and minorities have developed an entitlement mentality and near total callousness toward the property and generosity of others. That proved sadly to be much too true of many residents of NOLA. Conservatives didn't do that to them... you guys did. If they happen to be black... it isn't racism... just the tragic consequences of liberalism in full bloom.

Spot on.:hi:

Japan of WWII and Japan of today are two completely different countries.

Maybe. They still dont acknowledge a lot of what they did in WWII. Especially to the Korean comfort women and POW's.
So? Like I said, I've seen degreed engineers make mistakes with the conversions and it causes extra work for the next person in line. The Japanese like to keep things as simple as possible.

I am not going to argue with you about it. I have experience with them. You've been told about some interviews.
Most people know the difference when someone is asking a genuine question or insulting them.
