Why is there no looting in Japan?

You really are down on our country aren't you?

Anymore, yes. I'm sorry but I am.

This country has gotten lazy and fat. I work 9-9 Monday through Thursday and 9-5:30 on Friday. Basically 55 hours every week. I then get to hear how I don't give enough of my paycheck to people who don't want to work. It sickens me. This whole thing sickens me anymore. I am trying right now to move my telemarketing business to Asia where people are actually glad to work and thankful. I will be selling all of my insurance agencies (hopefully) in the next 10 years and will be buying a sugar and rice plantation over their also.

I'm done. Honestly, this country is done.

Probably get some good prices on that right about now in certain areas.

And I will say what I think might be a little obvious -- from the photographs and videos I've seen in a lot of areas where the population is displaced its because all that would be left to steal is mud and rubble.

This too shall pass. I know we don't agree on everything politics, but even I see that 50% of a people can't shoulder the tax burden. The middle class is at its breaking point. I have a feeling that sometime in the near future, the gravy train will go dry. Said it before, I don't mind helping someone willing to help themselves. It's those on perpetual welfare that do nothing that gripes me. You want help? Here's how much community service we require for that help.

Keep faith alive in the USA.

If you're getting overtime pay, you're giving plenty back.

I dont think you are going to warm up to living in a 3rd world country once you get over there and experience it. Might want to keep your options open before you dive in feet first.

I own my businesses. Over time does not come into play.

This isn't really about my personal job though. My point about the hours was more a comparison to the average American and other countries. 50 hour work weeks are common in many Asian countries and not here.

Most corp jobs anymore are paid around 38.5 hours with 40 hours on job minus the lunch. You ask a person to work overtime in this country or stay late and you might as well post their resume online for them. If they do work overtime it's 1.5.

There are so many reasons why this country is doomed but laziness is at the heart of it.

3rd world in some places. The major cities though are just like ours if not nicer.

I'm a programmer and my long weeks are 100+ hours. I've had 40 hour "days" before (I don't do those anymore). 40 hour work weeks are for pansies.

Japan has a huge problem with people exposing themselves on the subway, for what it's worth.

On a total side note, the movies that take place in Japan on the trains where a girl gets groped ... staged or real?

While groping, are they flying around doing flips like in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?
