HEART

No matter how talented you may be as a recruit, if you lack this one thing then you need not apply.

Tennessee was one of the first schools to allow track athletes to play football. Pretty sure it started aroud the Willy Gault/ Tim Mcgee era the name WRU.

Yes, but I think he's talking about the nickname WRU first being used mid 80s. By that time we aready had the reputation for quite a while.

You left off that list a guy named Kelly Washington. It seemed as if a WR would go down with some injuries there was always another player to come forth to become a star. So many good players it's hard to list them all.

I was going to do an even bigger list than this but its early and my typing skills are not at their best right now but we have had some incredible WR's in the past....to the OP it has NOTHING to do with heart, It has to do with having great wide receivers in the past

Spot on ! One of the biggest reasons we flourished was our world class track program led by Coach Roe then Stan Huntsman; and our willingness to allow great athletes to compete in both sports.

Sadly, our track program is in shambles; and it is not as easy for a player to miss spring practice without hurting his football.
