why no timeout?

Butch does get it. I thought it was a bad idea not to call the timeout, but then realized that Butch has no confidence in Worley to take the ball down the field mistake free in that amount of time. Good call

Ok, take him out. Let a freshman try.

At first I didn't like the call then I understood . Worley suxs so why give them more time when we punt . Best coaching call of the game.

Bc our QB sucks and right now we have no chance at a 2 min drive. All Worley has done under pressure is throw interceptions. We get the ball after the half and we are down 17-3, not that big of a margin. If we had any shot of a 2 minute drive I would have called a TO but not with Worley.

Then put a freshman in they could not be any worse. Jones is clueless

When he was hired I had little confidence in him now I have 0 confidence in him

The general idea of why you don't need TO's on offense is because you can spike the ball to stop the clock. With our offense, that extra down on offense could have been the difference between a touchdown drive or having to punt. Our offense needs all of the PLAYS it can get, not necessarily all the time we need.

Yeah I was just saying to my buddy that if this team has any hopes of beating a team like Georgia you can't just throw possessions away like that.

You risk giving Georgia the ball back with time to score, that's why. At least that is all I can come up with.

We just need to keep this game in check, and make the recruits think we are a few pieces away from being good. And that they can get early playing time. Not a terrible game. D looks pretty good.

Yea that no timeout reflects poorly on Butch and his confidence in Worley IMO

Dooley would have had the common sense to take that timeout.

I love Butch as a recruiter and motivator, but as a game manager, so far he DOESN'T FREAKING GET IT.

What makes you think the Vols will score in the 2nd half? They haven't proven they can so far. Worst offense in TN history.

The speed difference is so apparent, it's like we are running in sand.

I don't think Jones is smart enough to have figured that out.

Sure, people second guess him and then realize we can't move the ball. I am at the game and knew exactly what he was doing. He tried throwing it down the field and knew we couldn't.
