Why not Tulsi Gabbard

Good for her. It’s nice to see someone join the private sector and get paid money that hasn’t been laundered through the bureaucracy.

Laundered through My Pillow dollars.....

Get it? You wash your linens.... never mind.

It's been awhile but I'd read about the numerous socialist associations - including the DSA types she mentions - of Gabbard.
Maybe she's no more circumspect in understanding socialism than she is (oops - was) of the 2ndA, and has had dual epiphanies.
Which calls into her question her judgment and intellect that it's taken 40 years of not seriously considering two fundamental issues in American society, before now.

She has leagues to travel before I'd trust her further than I could toss her and land on a mattress.

I like what she says, but I’m not 💯 she means it lol.. but you have to just go on faith with most of this at any rate 😂

It's hard to trust anyone tainted by politics, but Tulsi still seems to be willing to consider all alternatives and not stick to a party line. Her starting point is a concern, but she still seems willing to listen to reason over dogma. Honesty and a willingness to move away from a party line are pretty much the best you can hope for in a politician.

Good point

Not gonna promote her for Prez or anything. But she’s out here saying what needs to be said.

Look, I disagree with her on some policies, quite a few actually, but this girl has had it with the leftist. She’s been on Joe Rogan a few times. Go look up those podcasts if you have time. Well worth the listen. And she’s pretty nice to look at for a couple of hours on those podcasts.

So the new GOP tent means:

You can believe in universal health care
Be anti nuclear power
Be pro green new deal
Be anti assault weapon ownership

As long as you bend the knee to Trump

What a great tent
Her stance has always been she personally believes that the average citizen doesn’t need an “assault weapon” weapon but the constitution guarantees the right to own them. Her voting record supports her position. Her entire career has been very much within what the constitution says and as a democrat she worked across the isle more than any other democrat. She’s the democrat version of Justin Amish. Neither were voted out of their party. Their parties became so crap filled that they both left.

I still say she would have made a good VP choice...

But I'm happy with Vance.

Defense Secretary maybe?

Tulsi is still in the military so I'm not sure she can be an ambassador but I could see that being a good spot. I think Sec of Defense might be a stretch however with as many cabinet positions available I'm sure there is a role for her.

She co-sponsored the 2019 Assault Weapons ban bill

To be clear, I'm not suddenly all in for Tulsi but I like that the Republican Party isn't so rigid that there is not a place for her. The Republican Party needed some of the updating it has gone through while sticking to its core values.

I don't like some things about Trump but this election is a binary choice. There is no way around it.

Agreed. I could see her as UN ambassador if she were allowed to serve in that role.

My only concern is her climate and green new deal positions. I hope it's not addictive like crack. While having her own views, if she could be sensible and supportive of more moderate positions than hers than it could be workable.
