Why not Tulsi Gabbard

The inner circle of the CFR.
I know about the CFR..Richard Hass used to be all over our tv screens. I even studied and wrote a paper about George Bush being in the Trilateralist Commission in the 1980s.

The theory doesnt hold water, otherwise they would not care who was President. These are idealogical think tanks with powerful people and even influence, but to say they control the President is another theory. Correlation vs Causation.

They have to have a president they control, they along with most of the establishment were happy Trump won the R nomination in 2016 because they (me too) thought that it guaranteed Hillary the WH. 2020 shows they learned their lesson.

That’s actually part of my point. Could’ve literally passed any new law without the vote of a single republican. Did democrats address immigration? Nope. Did they codify roe v wade into law? Nope. Did they make universal Medicare for all? Nope.

They built a mess.
Did you forget about the filibuster?

Thoughts on how to reform primary elections? It seems we continue getting worse and worse candidates
Put "NONE OF THE ABOVE" or the ability to vote against on the ballot. Can't say it would work, and there would be some kind of threshold a winner would have to meet - something far more significant that just getting out of negative territory. At least it would give clear indications that people are more willing to vote against someone than for the other choice.

Well, if that's what it takes.

Which politicians do we start the bloodletting with?

All of them? At least the ones in office. Then we'll see if anybody is up to the next round of elections and if a new purge is necessary.

You are thinking people in high places. With bureaucracies actually doing the work, people in low places can make things just not work if they choose. Remember where the bureaucracies are located and then look at the voting record for NoVA, MD, etc. There has been exploratory work on moving some agencies out of the DC area; it would be a fascinating opportunity if the current staff didn't go with the agency, and the agency was remade from a conservative rather than liberal base. You could probably look at highway construction as a mirror to a mandate from a conservative administration. Somebody may be working - at least appearing to be doing something toward completion.

It's been said a few times that the Deputy Director for any number of agencies is the one wielding the power ... the appointed Directors are just marking time and passing through.

I lost my liberal thinking around 14 or 15. Dad woke me up for morning milking one cooooold Saturday, so cold we had to thaw out the parlor before we could milk. I asked WTF couldn't he get my younger brother up instead of me and he said "you already know what you're doing and I don't have time to teach him". Learned early dumb and lazy gets rewarded.
God bless dairy farmers. That is one ball and chain industry. My wife and I don't drink milk, but man it's it a necessary business that doesn't get near the credit it deserves.
