:eek:lol:
I really do not understand why so many negavols want to post on here.
Is it because you are so negative in your own life that you want everyone else to feel your pain or are you trying to bring us all down to your level.
I for one will always support the Big Orange and do so in a positive way, no matter how low my favorite program has sunk, if that be the case. I will always expect that next game or next season we will come out on top.
Some might say that i'm looking through orange colored glasses or i've drank to much orange koolaid. But most will say, that man loves his Tennessee Vols.

GO BIG ORANGE!

I really do not understand why so many delusiofrogs want to post on here.
Is it because you are so delusional in your own pond that you want everyone else to feel your pain or are you trying to bring us all down to your pond scum. (Do I put a ? here or not?)??

I for one will always support the Big ARNJ and do so in a head-in-sand way, no matter how lousy my favorite program has stunk, if that be the case, as it is, no doubt today. Kiss me I turn into a Fresh Prince.

I will always expect that next game or next season we will come out on top. I expect next year to win the NCAAC. No frog s^^^.

Some might say that i'm looking through arnj colored glasses or i've drank to much arnj koolaid or that I am pathopsychologically out of touch with reality. But most will say, that frog loves his Tennessee Vols.

GO BIG ARNJ
LOVE IT OR LEAF IT!

The way I look at it, the coach of any of UT athletic program is a Vol also. Actually the baseball coach puts on the uniform everyday too. Everyone knows how you feel. Re-wording the same sentence over and over is pointless.

Todd Raleigh is paid - overly paid actually, to put on the uniform.

The players (to the man) have to pay the university something to wear the uniform.

Sure they may get a partial scholarship but the University makes far more off these guys than these guys get in scholarship from university.

To me, this fits the definition of volunteer more than anything Todd Raleigh or any coach does.

This is why, I think the guys (and they are all guys) who do not get full scholarships deserve far more respect from the school, the coaches and the fans than they get. Yet the full scholarship guys get the respect and are called hard working.

No college athlete works harder than swimmers, divers or track/field guys

Hey McCleverstein! That was by-far your best post in an otherwise miserable career. I think tongue-n-cheeck posivol posts is a genre you should do more often! Thanks for the bright ray-of-sunshine!!!

NCAA regionals announced tomorrow...I'm hoping he's gone but don't see Mike making the move unfortunately...this program has so much potential that is wasted with a clown running the show

I'm making a behind the scenes phone call to Pat Murphy to see if there is any interest at all in coming to Knoxville. If I think there is a 80% or greater chance he comes, then we have a press conference this week announcing Todd Raleigh's departure.

If Murphy is not interested then Raleigh and I have a come-to-Jesus meeting this week where I tell him anything less than a Top 4 conference finish and hosting an NCAA regional next year will be considered unacceptable and he will be gone.

If Todd Raleigh and the Vols are the "Best of the Worst" in 2011 and stumble into 8th place then Hamilton will keep him once again.

8th place is wholly unacceptable for any sport at UT.

8th place in most sports is reserved for the Mississippi schools, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina not the best all-around program (historical anyway) in the SEC!

This would have been the season to consider 8th place an improvement. 8th place in 2011 (4th season) is not an improvement. Just more of the same.

Exactly.

That's why I said for this season, if Raliegh had made the SECT or missed Hoover but got to the NCAAT, then he would be safe and next season would need to improve from that.

But that's all out the window, and if Hamilton isn't going to pull the trigger then next season needs to be a huge jump in improvement. Merely finishing 8th next season in no way should cut it. I agree, it better be a Top 4 finish or better, no questions asked. If that's not met, Raliegh is gone period.

I think it's sad he's even getting a 4th year, but I guess if Buzz Peterson got one then we should have known Raliegh would.

He doesn't have high standards for his coaches at all....what other school would keep a coach that both 1) hasn't made the postseason in his 3 years and 2) his players strongly dislike him?

Like Volstrike has said MANY times on here look what LSU and Florida did with their baseball programs with coaches that in their eyes underacheived even though they had a good amount of success...they were shown the door...then they hired new coaches and what happened? LSU won the National Title last year and Florida is the #3 overall seed this Tournament

Can you imagine if Dooley goes 3 years here without making ONE bowl game and Hamilton keeps him? That's the precedent he's setting with keeping Raleigh...it's okay in Mike's eyes for coaches for his programs to have very minimal success

MH is the Fulmer of AD's -

Hung around long enough to get the job.

Living on one lightning strike of luck (Pearl, even though a search firm found that for him) otherwise amidst a sea of mediocrity and poor decisions.

Should have been shown the door two to three years before he will be.

Won't get the same gig at any other big-time program once he's fired.

Firing Raleigh - no matter how warranted - would be like nailing his coffin lid from the inside.

He's more for staying employed than anything, and nothing else even comes close.

Raleigh needs to go with Hamilton right behind him....I don't like either one nor would I support either in any fashion
