Does it say what their formula is?

Edit: nvm just saw your post, so their formula does factor in or?

So with a formula that factors in offensive rebounds we were at 65.3, right around our average, interesting.

I tried their formula and got 63.1. Math skills are rusty though.

The formula for calculating possessions.
Most services use:
FGA-OR+TO+(.44*FTA)

Teamrankings uses:
FGA-OR+TO+(.475*FTA)

Wow.

Another reason possessions is a very misleading stat.

Shooting free throws doesn't even equate to a possession. When we get a two shot foul its less than 1 possession. That's stupid

There is zero reason with today's technology that a computer program can't count missed front end of 1 and 1 free throws as 1 full possession, and 3pt play attempt FTAs count as zero, and all other FTA being equal to .5 possessions.
